This number called and left a message stating the IRS was filing a lawsuit against me.

They called me pretending to be the IRS. They always use a different phone number and they are getting sneakier but they call me every year right around the holidays or tax time. The minute they say pay over the phone with a debit or credit card within 24 Hours or something like that it's a scam. And if you say you know it's a scam they will hang up on you most likely anyway.

Caller Bethany Jones claimed I owe back taxes due to a miscalculation on federal income tax. If I did not pay at the Washington DC federal court house in 45 minutes a lawsuit would be filed. I was told I could also get 5 hears in jail. The Caller claimed two notices sent to my address. Both were never received, I called the police. I asked to speak to the supervisor Jason O"Connor of the person who called me. He asked if I called the police when i said yes he put me on hold. I have been on hold ever since.

Said he was with IRS. It's a scam!!

Got a phone call from 202-413-9763 on 1-27-16 telling me that a lawsuit was being filed against me by the IRS and to call the number back. "Scam"!!

They called me twice today called back some "foreigner " answered I asked him why he keeps calling me, he said you called me mam I told him if they dial my # again I will report them!

Received call 2x today saying IRS is suing me. After reading comments I called and told them I knew it was a scam and reported to the Police Department.  They quickly hung up and yes barely speaks English.

Robo call saying the IRS is filing a lawsuit and wants you to call back.  Don't call, obvious scam.
