IRS phone scam. Received a call from Shirley Cruz telling me IRS is going to arrest me, etc. The  IRS does not call they send certified letters. Told her to improve her English and to swim back to what ever hole she climbed out of.

Total IRS scam. Woman with broken English calling from criminal investigation unit. Do not answer or call back!!

Got a message and called back (for fun) People with intense accents telling me the police will be coming to my house to arrest me for (gasp!) IRS tax fraud if I hang up or do not talk to them. They could not tell me what IRS stood for.  I hope no one falls for this hysterical scam.

Phone scam received this AM.  Broken English.  IRS does not leave phone messages.

Just received the same call. Well timed a day after tax day, but a pretty lame scam otherwise.

Got the same message. Glad I looked it up. I was scared at first because I did make a mistake on my taxes and had to send out a correction, BUT I think it was her accent and lack of information gave it away!

Same call 4/17/2015. Her accent is terrible.  I cant wait to call he back and giver her all my personal information???

This is a scam.  IRS doesn't report to homeland security and they do not issue arrest warrants to the local police department.

When was the last time you called the irs and actually had someone answer the phone?

Got a phone message call, from this number, "Officer" Shirley Cruz with the IRS. Criminal warrant taken out on me for something. Did not give my name in the message, spoke terrible English. Ended the message with " I look forward to hearing from you". I tried to call back and kept getting a busy signal. I just wanted to shake her up some, since I work for a Government organization, I had several questions for her !!!

Left on answering machine.....you would think that the IRS would at least have an employee that spoke good English...

Most of these calls are coming from India and Pakistan.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Got the same message from 'Shirley Cruz'.  Hopefully nobody has fallen for this.

Got a message and called back . Shirley Cruz was  telling  me about  the police that  will be coming to my house to arrest me for the taxes I did not pay in 2008.  They knew my address and my home phone#...??? Beware. It is a scam.

Did not get the full message but a female with a heavy accent stated "looking forward to hearing from you". Sounds like the same scam others reported here

Big time scam - people saying they're from irs & will arrest me if i don't pay them.  Very intimidating.  Don't return their calls!

Just received the same message on my recorder from Shirley Cruz. What a scam. I'd like to know how they can live with themselves. I'm sure her Mother must be proud of her, NOT!!

IRS scam!!! Answered the phone IRS not Internal Revenue Service.  Gave me their address in DC but did not know the zip code!  A man named Officer Jack Williams with a made up ID#    Had caller ID because I did not call back from the same number they called and they knew who I was.
