Caller said he was with the IRS and that I was going to be arrested by a federal Marshall if I didn't agree to pay $1986.00 in cash to an irs government store. At which point, I would be given a voucher and a date to present myself to the local IRS office.  If I didn't agree to pay this amount in cash within the next 48 hours, the federal Marshall would arrest me and the charges I would be facing would be defraudment of the U.S. government. I have paid my taxes on time but they said that an audit revealed willful activities to defraud the government. The person was very forceful and that we were on a recorded line.  When I kept pressing for more clarification, he hung up.  The call latest for approx. 30 minutes.  This is a total hoax.

The caller said he was with the IRS and I was going to be arrested by a federal marshal.  I told him to come and see me so I could blow his brains out but the black on the phone did not have the courage to meet me in person.  He want me to come to some store in DC and pay some amount of money.  I have the location and I am going to visit the location and get them a big surprise.  This is nothing but a groups of blacks from Africa trying to run a scam on people.  They should be burned alive.  They is mostly like some hard working person who is going to pay the money to these blacks from Africa.

Received a call and left voicemail but said nothing.

The same thing happen to me this morning. But it was the sheriff that was going to arrest me. He wanted me to settle for some amount over $1800. When I ask for his name and phone number they hung up on me. I plan to call the IRS and tell them about the call.

Someone with a barely understandable foreign accent... African or east Indian.  Left message and said to call within 24 hours to discuss tax problem or legal action will be taken.  They left a message on my voice mail twice today.  I called the IRS directly to check my account - and everything was fine.  The IRS also informed me that the IRS does not contact people by phone (esp. threatening phone calls), they use written communication (letters).

This is a scam, don't bother communicating with them.  You can report this to the IRS at this website:  "www.tigta.gov"

This is a SCAM.  I received the same call today.  I also received two similar calls from a phone number in Arlington, Virginia last month that said they were from the IRS and that I would be arrested for fraud.  The persons that called had  thick middle eastern accents that were hardly understandable.  They started using a lot of profanity when I told them I had turned then in to the FBI.

He started by telling me they had audited a range of tax forms and found serious issues.  I asked him to give me my Social Security number...IRS would have that, after all.  He began to explain why he couldn't...hung up on him.

Someone called my cell phone about 3 months ago and again today wanting to talk to my retired and disabled husband. The 1st time he called, I was so afraid THAT I HAD CANCELED OUR BANK 💳 💳 CARDS.  IHAVE A FATAL BRAIN DISORDER AND MY HUSBAND HAS A BRAIN INJURY. SO,  I WAS SO MESSED UP I HAD TO TAKE MY PRESCRIPTION FOR PANIC ATTACKS. WE WE'RE AFFRAID FOR OVER A MONTH. This time I told him he was wrong and he hung up. Hoax

I haven't picked up when this number has called, but I will tell you if you owe the it's money they will not do it in the form of a phone call.  This is a scam!  So, if you do get a call from this number tell them to go play with monkey poo because that's what they apparently did before running this scam.  Have a good day.

I got a call from this today, they are now using a robo voice... i guess to hide behind their african accent

I got a call from this number threatening me, stating I had defrauded the IRS.  A sheriff would be coming to arrest me if I did not pay 1986.00 within 48 or I go to jail for six months. I reported this to the IRS

I just received the same phone call,  sounded like middle eastern man. Wanting to speak to my husband by name and wouldn't give me any information about being audited and owing the IRS. I will block that number!

I recieved the same call today he tried to tell me I was served in June of last year by certified mail I told him he was crazy that I would remember that.  And then I proceeded to tell him I work for an attorney and that I would be glad to get him to look over te papers he said they could not send me anything and that I was not able to speak to anyone about this until it was payed. They need to go back where they came from

I just got the same "EXACT" call from 202-446-2092  same amount owed $1986.00 from two gentlemen with very heavy accents - first to bat was the Litigator Peter Williams - he could not take the heat when i asked a bunch of questions so he transferred me to the guy sitting next to him because it seems as if he just handed him the phone..lol! i can almost picture this comedy show in my head. now im on the phone with the Senior Officer of the Auditing Department which made it very clear to me that i could not interrupt him while he read all the allegations charged against me in the Lawsuit #G121286 mailed to my home back in June 2014 which NO surprise here I failed to respond to it(obviously can't respond to something you did not receive) Funny enough little does he know that i work with the BEST Lawyers in town and he asked him to send this documentation to me certified mail- the end. I i should be picked up by a US Marshall by tomorrow and will spend the next 6 months in Jail... I'll keep you guys posted.

Received the same call, asking me to settle an IRS debt, I told them this is a scam and they got offended and said they would file a warrant for my arrest and I would know who they are then.  What a joke!!  If someone could only let me know where these guys are, I would show them who I am.

This caller called me was an automated recording said to call back in 24 hrs or id be arrested id called right back n person on other line asked if he was speaking to n said name well it was not me said no he said oh wrong number your not in trouble

IRS never called people... Don't be fooled... Indian call center scam...

India... India... India... Now money pack no longer... Now how these guys get money????

There are still several untraceable ways of sending money.
No need to tell you what they are ... the bad guys will figure it out on their own.

Call from this number identifying himself as an IRS agent conducting a random audit and attempting to collect unpaid taxes from incorrectly filed returns over the past 5 years. When I refused to discuss any information with him over the phone and requested an IRS office close to me to contact, he became pushy and said he has no choice but to follow a lawsuit against me and that a warrant would be issued to the federal marshal for my arrest and imprionment.
