1) Registered to vote?
2) Pro-life?
Then hung up. I said no to Pro-life (having been Jesuit educated, using mental reservation; no means, "no, it's not your business to know").
Is this some radical right wing nut making these calls? They're the type to do this. - CPR Action is the non-profit and tax-exempt legislative action arm of Cornerstone Policy Research, founded in 2006 in order to adhere to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) code related to lobbying and advocacy efforts for non-profit organizations. Obviously this is a ultra-conservative polling agency targeting New York due to the gay marriage vote that is coming up.
I too am on the do not call list - but got the call from a telemarketer. Not good.
- Penguinn30 Apr 2009I just received a call from this number which was an automated "poll." It said there were two questions, the first of which was if I considered myself "pro-life." I said yes, but that it no way implies I am anti-choice. But at this point the computer said something I could not hear and hung up. This is a clearly an unethical and unprofessional "survey." I immediately called the number back and got no answer. I will try the number again tomorrow to try and determine who is this shoddy in their research methodology.

Answering machine picked up and automated voice caller had already started asking if I was a registered voter in NH. Then he said this was a public survey call and might be calling back later. At least they didn't say "at a more convenient time", since there isn't any for political survey nuisance calls. - Bobo5 May 2009
