Received a call telling me the United States Government is giving me a grant for 7000.00.
No repayment is needed. I asked why, and the person was silent, then hung up.

Called no message

This is a scam!!. They are trying to get your banking information so they can drain you dry.  Usually they ask you to go to a store and purchase itunes or western union. Then they ask you to send $150 to $200 to them as a fee to cover expenses and then disappear with you being scammed.  The government doesn't give any grants without you applying for it!!!  Block the number. It's one of the scams that they are currently running so be careful.

Got the same call too. Only it's a muffled vouce with background chatter. Then in a few seconds, they hung up. You guys are right!!! It is a scam and it is a Washington DC area code. I watched a youtube video on this scam. You guys need to watch those videos. I blocked the call.

I received the same call yesterday.  They were very vague so I asked them how my name and number were selected.  The lady actually yelled "Do you want your money or not?".  Almost needless to say, I hung up immediately.

I receive several calls a day from this annoying number. There is no response when I answer.

This number called my phone three times today alone. When I finally answered, a woman told me I was selected to win a govt grant of $1000. All I needed to do was call some dude and get information from him, then I get to go to Walgreen's and pick up the money...That sounds legit...

Got a call saying the government picked me for a grant and to call a 315-282-5422 and talk about where I want to pick the. Money up and possibly the fees to get the money
