202-470-0761

202-470-0761 is the number provided by an automated phone call (from 303-385-0493) claiming to be the IRS.  The message states to call this number to learn more about the lawsuit supposedly being filed against me.  I won't call, of course.  

202-470-0761 - but the number that called me was 607-733-1419 - said it was the IRS and that it was the final attempt to contact me.  said to call the 202 # immediately.

Received a call from Texas number 972-453-9824 and an automated message stating needed to call 202-470-0761 immediately about pending lawsuit from the IRS.  Do people who use scams realize they need to have thier facts correct as if IRS was suing anyone first the IRS would contact you directly and second of all legal system requires you be served in person with a summons regarding a lawsuit.

Just got an automated phone call from a New York number 202-470-0761, claiming to be the IRS. Said a lawsuit had been filed against me and to call the phone number immediately. I did not call. I worry about the elderly who get these phone calls and think they are real. I'm so tired of scams!

Received a call from 585-243-9768 that said to call the 202-470-0761 immediately about an IRS lawsuit.  Although I knew it was a scam, I had to play along - I was bored this morning.  The man who answered had a really thick Indian accent and said his name was Peter Jackson.  He then asked me for my name and social security number. ...I couldn't resist. I told him my name was Bilbo Baggins (I mean come on, if he gets to be Peter Jackson, it only seemed fair)  What a waste, because he didn't even get it.....

I received an automated message from the IRS leaving phone number 2024700761 for me to find out more info about a lawait filed against me. Needless to say I did not call back.

Received a call from 618-529-9140.   Automated call claimed that  the IRS was trying to get in touch with me and  to call 202-470-0761.

My call came today from a 707 area code requesting that I call the 202-470-0761 regarding the IRS lawsuit being filed against me.  

My call came from a 585 area code.  I live in the DC area and work at the HQ of a fed. agency and know that is not how they would do business.

I received the same message from same phone number.

Automated message scam claiming IRS filing lawsuit against us.  Number to call back is 202-470-0761.  Caller ID was unavailable and number read 845-928-1836

I just got a call claiming to be with IRS and were going to sue me about past stuff.
I knew it was a scam but when I typed in 202 area code, the second entry was fraud.
I hope no elderly fall prey to this scam.

Got a message from 315-458-7682 saying that I need to call back 202-470-0761

They said the IRS was  filing a lawsuit against me. I am hope no one falls for this SCAM and then gives out their personal info!

This morning at 8:27 received an automated phone call from 217-398-9755 stating that it was final notice from IRS before they file lawsuit against me, that I need to call 202-470-0761 to find out more information, and at 10:22 I received another call from 732-404-2927 stating a lawsuit from IRS has been claimed against me and I need to call 202-684-6433.  I was confused this morning and decided to look up their phone numbers before, glad I did it, now i'm sure it's a SCAM.

I just received the same from 618-465-8138...recorded msg. saying I'm being sued by IRS...yadda, yadda, yadda.  & to call the 202-470-0761.  Like you, I will not call!!

This caller stated they were from the IRS and my mother in law owed them money.  We called the number back and there was an opportunity to leave a message.  This is a scam.  As far as I know the IRS does not call on the phone, they contact you via US Mail and set up meetings to discuss the reason they think you owe them money.  Call your local Attorney General's Office Consumer Protection Division and file a complaint.
