Just received a call saying the government chose me for a free Grant of $8,400.00. This is a scam!!!!!

They keep calling me

The government will not contact you to offer a grant.




If you have been called and offered a grant that you did not apply for, please DO report it. You can do so by going to http://www.grants.gov/web/grants/support/general-support/grant-fraud.html and either calling the number or sending an email to the number and email address listed at the top of the page.

I also received a called from this number today around 3 pm but its not the first time i received a called from this number it was another number said the samething best thing to do is repirt it to ur local police department and lt them know of theres 244 who also got scam half of them also did what i did gave money and its sad bcuz most of us is a singel mother and its a shame no one is doing anything about it many more crimes are been committed they get the worst of it and this people are getting $1000 and $1000 of money their from India calming to be Americans and this and that given confirmation numbers and stuff....... it gets me mad cux they make u think u gonna get money when ur really not....

They try to call me and tell me the SE thing I look it up on google and I found this page lol look at that

Called telling me I qualified for free grant money so I went along with until she said there is a fee and that's when I started to question them and asks questions lol she got nervous and would put me on hold and wouldn't come back.

Got a call from this number also. but I know for me if it's to good to be true then it is. And if there supposedly giving me all this money why would I pay them I don't think so and if it's real then send me a check because I sure the hell am not giving out my bank account info. So to everyone just be careful and google everything before you do it

Also received call, from Joyce Weston regarding a grant, pur scam when confronted she hung up. Shameful!

I received a call from this number and the guy I spoke to (Paul) told me to call a Joyce Wriston. When I did they took my account info. I have not paid them any money and now I do not intend to, but with a name you may be able to get somewhere with this.

This is regarding grant money for my good payments on my school loans.

This is the sixed time I've resived this call my cell always saying its from Columbia hahaha. its getting annoying but even after I reported it nothing has changed other then my phone number but they keep getting it just do what I do go along with it n pretend your interested n then when they hang up don't bother with the call back number that usualy workes but the fastest way is to just say hold on the line while I call 911 and verify your number

When you're experiencing a x call like this something in the back of your mind tells you that this is too good to ever be true because it's simply being b handed to you but then something in you wants you to believe that it's true and that that money will be in your hands very soon..... but thanks to Google.com you can simply enter a phone number and connect with several different individuals across the country who are experiencing the same dilemma.  While I did give them my account info I shall not be giving Joyce Weston a call back, that gives you the creeps to know that sick moderate people would be audacious enough to call your phone and con you into believing their proposition. I feel bad for single mothers and my fellow Americans who were sitting there once they received that call thinking to themselves 'why I  cou really use this extra cash, not for any devious endeavor but instead to help out there family.Please America be wise. Your break will actually one day come...little by little.
