Received call from 202-481-9008 Dist of Columbi at 3:33 PM this date. Said they wanted to speak to the person in charge of our magazine subscription to TOW Times. Put them on hold for the owner and they hung up while they were on hold.

received 3 calls 1st at 6:15 pm 2nd at 6:23pm 3rd at 6:26pm.  No one  on the line when answered.  Also I did not hear a dissconnect.

Just received call from "Dist of Columbia."  No one there.  When dialing # it doesn't even go through.

Just got second call today from 202-481-9008 (on ID).  This time a lady was on line and selling radio magazine, "Radio Ink."  Although the number shows from Dist. of Columbia, she said she was in Seattle.  The number may be a system through which other calls go through???

i recieved the same call but it said washinton DC on land line but cell it was district of columbia.  no one was there, then it said all lines busy

I got 2 phone calls from this number tonight @7pm & 8pm.  I didn't answer the 1st but answered the 2nd and they tried to sell me magazine for nursing.  I'm a bit bothered because he asked me if I was still a nurse.  My nursing license is public information but it's annoying that a telemarker has this information.

I am on the DNC list - when I answered the phone today, dead air. No answer when I tried the number back... District of Columbia on called id.

One of those annoying & persistant telemarketers, spam for short.

Received several calls from this number, never answered it though. Tried doing a reverse lookup on yellowbook and it didn't show anything, thanks to the above comments I will continue ignoring their calls. Thanks everyone!

Received 2 phone calls from this number already this morning.  They hung up when I answered.  We are on the National Do Not Call list.  Evindently that doesn't matter to them !

Someone keep calling me between 3 and 4 am quiet often I just received another call , I answered & they do not speak. It is very frustrating I really wish they would stop

This number 202-481-9008, calls everyday two to three times.  There is no one on the phone and I have complained to the Do Not Call Registry but one has to remember its a goverment agency and no one has done a damn thing about it!

Received a phone call from 202-481-9008 at 7:12pm on Wednesday 12/15/2010.   I answered and no one answered.  I too am on a "No Call list."

Received a call today at 1615 that said DIST OF COLUMBI on id. no message left.  i find it interesting about the post from 6/16/10 by jlp about the magazine....nursing.....bc my wife is a nurse too.

Received a call at my place of business, not happy about it, let it ring through.  Glad I found information here tried reverse phone lookup and all it said was pvt number.  Great job keep up the good work!!!

I keep getting the same call from 202-481-9008. Dead air. Really strange because I'm also a nurse.

They also called my place of business....same # as all above have posted.  They asked if the "Boss" was hiring any full time positions.  They were promptly told no it is a sole proprietorship.  They then wanted to know the NAME of who THEY were speaking to!!!  Unbelievable.    I have tried several times to call the number back and all it does is ring, no answering machine, no one EVER picks up, nothing.  It all seems a little sketchy to me.  I think it is a call center and is use to make out going calls for many many different sketchy businesses......
