- Wilbert BuieI got a call from the number and they wanted to get my bank account number or a credit card number so that they could put $8000.00 dollars into either accout. I got their number so that I could do some research on that number. I did not provide any info to them about my bank or credit cards.
- JessicaI also received a call from them offering the same amount and looked up information on them. They continued to call me and i told them i was on to them and they starting cussing at me and accusing me of trying to receive a fake loan from them, quite entertaining at that point however they keep calling and so i went and a site to report them to the FBI so hopefully the calls will soon stop

- meli1990I also receive a call today 10-24-12 from an Indian guy name Mark Wilson, that told me I won a grant for 8,000 for having no criminal history. Then he asked for my credit card info and me being in denial about the whole thing, gave him an old prepaid card. So he said to be approved I would have to wire transfer $130.00 through Western Union. And I'm like why don't u just take it off the 8,000 dollars I supposedly was awarded. He said that the money cannot be touched so I told him when he figure out a way to do it then call me back. He hasn't since. We have to be aware of all these scam artists, this is just getting ridiculous.

- Cali GirlCall saying he was the IRS. Called at 2:48pm Cali time, I guess the IRS is paying over time, I started laughing because I know about this SCAM. People please tell your elders the IRS sends letters, they do not call over the phone. Please tell these people that they will go to jail if their caught and they should find a better employer. The guy told me he loved me and asked if I would marry him. LMAO!!!!!!!
- RjjBig time scam by a scum. Who ever heard of an Indian with the last name Smith. She only wanted 1900 to settle IRS audit.
- lee replies to maria figueroa| 1 replybad move...... they can electronically take your money when you do have some in there maybe not now but 6 months or a year they can debit your account
- If replies to leeyou take in the fact that the post you replied to is 3 years old, the 6 months has passed a long time ago.
- K MacReceived a call this morning 10:56am (EDT) from "Mr. Smith" of the "IRS". Mr. Smith began to question me about my '08 through '20 taxes and that I made a mistake. I suggested that perhaps the IRS was getting ahead of itself as we just filed our '14 taxes. Mr. Smith immediately became annoyed with me and said he meant '08 through '13. As a side note, I could barely understand Mr Smith as he had a very thick foreign accent.
Mr. Smith continued further by suggesting that I had made a mistake on my W4 form and that I would have to pay (could not understand what he was saying) so I asked if he meant a W2 form at which point he became very upset with me and began cursing (at least it sounded like cursing) and then hung up.
I was fascinated by the call as I assumed that the real IRS would advise by mail if there was a problem, so I decided to call the number that appeared on my caller ID. To my amazement, they actually answered the phone "Internal Revenue Service". I asked to speak with Mr Smith but the person answering the call (also with a very thick accent) said she could not connect me with Mr Smith but wanted to take my information(?). I asked to speak with a manager at which point she made some comment under her breath and hung up.
The real IRS has a department to report Imposter Scams to let's hope that ends this episode.
By the way, the number that called me was 202-499-1448

- jillBEWARE - FRAUDULENT CALLER STATING HE WAS W/THE IRS
fWe received a call and someone left a message that the IRS was filing a law suit. We tried to call the IRS & were on hold forever. So... we called the number that we missed the call on, it was a Washington, D.C. number w/an area code of (202) which is correct. My husband started discussing why we were getting sued. He said they did an audit of our 2012 taxes and we owed a lot of money from the last five years. Firstly, we filed an extension for 2012. My husband asked for specifics, the man got really agitated and the man told my husband he must call this certain number which the area code seemed odd for the IRS ((which was not a D.C. area code & my husband googled the number while on the phone & it was a Washington State #) to call for further info. My husband asked more question and accused them of making fraudulent calls. The man said if we did not call that number & if we ended the call w/him there was NO stopping a law suit from the IRS. The gentlemen called my husband a [***]. Oh, he also sent him to a website so we could send $9,000.00 immediately. The website looked authentic but it was a TRUE SCRAM and not the IRS.- Caller: Stated they were the IRS

- ROBERTA JSCALL TYPE: THREATENING SCAM ARTIST------Well, they're still at it!! I've been getting automated recorded threats to an unlisted number daily for the past 2 weeks or so. I don't answer and was hoping they'd take my number out of their list considering I'm not responding in any way. By now, anyone that is old enough to use a phone or the internet should know never to give any personal info of any kind to anyone but sadly people are still doing it out of desperation I guess. Anyways, please NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU NEED MONEY - DO NOT FALL FOR THESE SCAMs OR YOU'LL BE RUINED FOR LIFE!! No legit company will say "if you choose not to answer we can only wish you good luck on what unfolds on you" or something stupid like that!!
