Got a recording from 202-506-8069.  Claimed to be the IRS and they were going to take legal action if I did not return call.    REALLY?   A recording.....?????

Fake Irs 😁. This is a scam. They are relentless and have tons of numbers.  IRS will mail you a letter not call.

Received calls at 7:00 pm on a Friday and 8:00 am on Saturday. Same deal, robo-call saying that I had to call immediately. I called number and spoke to man named "Daniel" that had a very thick accent. Told me that IRS was filing suit against me for fraud. Also said that I was going to be arrested and they would seize all of my assets. He asked if I received the lawsuit documents, to which I said no. He then told me that the police department was waiting to serve the documents and arrest me. Also said that I owed $2900 and with penalties, I owed $15,000.

AT this point my scam radar was on high.

He asked me if I would allow him to call my local courthouse and see if the "agent" would agree to settle this. I, of course said yes.

While on hold I googled the number and saw this site. When "Dan" came back he said that the agent denied settling with me but I could speak to him.

"Dan" transferred me to another man whose accent was so thick that I couldn't understand his name. He said that he was sending my local police dept immediately to arrest me.

Considering that this is 8:15 on a Saturday morning, I asked him how he got in touch with my local courthouse and how do I know that he's really from the IRS. He told me that he is from the IRS and I need to listen to him. I once again asked how he got in touch with the courthouse on a Saturday Morning at 8:15 am and how do I know that he really works for the IRS.

Guess what, he hung up.

IRS - tape recording wants our attorney to call or us to call.  We are to talk to Ms Grey and soon as possible this was 4 calls I have received and I just hang up.

Got a call...same recording from above.  Can i sue these idiots for wasting my time and causing my unnecessary stress.  Oh I can file a civil suit but they aren't even in the US and if they were the amount to pay legal fees would not even be worth it.  What is FCC going to do about this???

I let the call go to voicemail.  It was a recording, the first part of which was cut off, but which provided a number I was supposed to call before they took "any legal allegation against" me.  Um, if you want to scare someone, maybe you should threaten legal action, rather than allegation.  Total scam.

Report the Calls to the real IRS here:
•report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 800-366-4484.
•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

I receved a call from 202-506-8069.  She said she is calling from IRS.  She told me that I owe some mony from IRS.  I am going to arrest because of it.  I hunged up the phone.  Three days later, I am still not arrested.  This is scam.

I also received a call from 202-506-8069 demanding a return call to the IRS or face legal action.

This was the SAME guy that just called me today. I am SO glad i looked up the phone number on google. He also told me they sent letters but that they were supposedly returned. He claimed I owed $8,000. He claimed he could not re-send me the letter.

I said my lawyer would be in touch with them and he hung up.

"Goodbye and take care" in voice message....from the IRS???  Really?  Obviously a scam

Some fool named "Ryan Gibson" called my mother and threatened to have her arrested if she didn't pay for back taxes. He never gave her an amount to pay. He just asked her how much she was willing to pay. She told him that she was going to consult with an attorney. I had to go over to her house and calm her down.  I later came to find out this guy had a foreign accent. Hell, he probably can't even spell USA. I reported the issue to the Federal Trade Commission. Then called Ryan back and cussed him out.
