Caller leaves message -you or your attorney of record must call back, Heather Grave IRS. Issue at hand extremely time sensitive.  Don't disregard this message because legal action against you may be taken. Return call at 202-506-8682.

Its a scam.  If you call back they'll offer you a chance to buy your way out of trouble.  They'll drop the charges for a very large fee.  

Ignore the call.

A total scam.  The IRS will never reach out by phone.  And if they did they would offer a valid badge number.

These people are scum.

Report the Calls to the real IRS here:
•report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 800-366-4484.
•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

Got the Robo call supposedly from the IRS on an urgent matter and to call (202) 506-8682 immediately. A bit of research shows this number is not the IRS but for a tax preparer: Anjunette Muhammad 1215 Valley Drive  Hyattsville, Maryland 20782

7/15/14   Received the robo-call (at 7:45 AM)  from a woman calling from "Ventura  Revenue Service".. called herself Agent Heather..  she said:   "Allegations  have been filed against you...... don't wait until we take action against you.... call  202-506-8682".
Obviously a scam... I hope no one is fooled by this.

just got this call, why isn't she in jail? Called back voice mail of woman with accent.

Got the same call.....impersonation of the I.R.S. with threat to take action against me. Don't be fooled.  Filing complaints per suggestions here.

Yea I got that call also .  i called it back and talked to  a non English speaking male  hahaha   obviously a [***]  .......  o excuse me  a little sheethead person ,  lol              what a scam  

Have received this message 3 times.  Same as other posts...Heather somebody from IRS...time sensitive....I need to return call the SECOND I get the message...and then, the warning to call before they take legal allegations - not actions.  What happened to being on the national DO NOT CALL list?

I got ahold of these pieces of crap and let him go with his foreign voice passing himself off as an irs official. Then I let loose on this piece of s...t. Probably should of hung up but I didn't. This low life proceeded to talk all kinds of [***] to me as I was unloading on him. Made me feel good. Obvious scaming pieces of garbage. I kept calling back unloading until they finally sent me to voicemail.

I myself and my wife received numerous calls from this number. One time the message stated the same as others have posted. Once an offering for phone sex was left with a different 800 number. Again a message was left asking to return the call ASAP with my name and SS number. The final one yesterday stated for an upfront check of $250.00 help would be on the way. They left the mailing address of Maryland to send a check. I have reported these people to the FBI in regards to, possible terorism, fraud, and mail fraud. The OTS will be contacted as well as, the bar association, the agency for CPA'S, The FTC, and of course.. THE IRS!!

She's not in jail because she's not in the US.  She's calling from a 3rd world country where scamming dumb Americans is not illegal and where local police do not cooperate with police from the US.  She's using Voice over Internet (or whatever they call it) to keep the phone bill down.

received the call from lady (a$$whole) number 202.506.8682 said she was from IRS.  i wish they would just come by the house and we can settle it and they can leave in a body bag.  i hope the irs checks these messages. looking forward the your visit.

I received the same call and they must have wrong info since I already SIF my balance with the IRS. If you have a problem (of any kind with the IRS), they will contact you in writing and NEVER,NEVER ever by phone. If you don't know how to deal with the IRS yourself, call these ASSWHOLES and pay them a hefty fee for doing your work. All you have to do is be open with the IRS and work you way out with THEM!! THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!

This is a Pakistan or India based IRS scam. Do not fall for this.

The IRS does not initiate any legal action via phone. Report it also to your local law enforcement agency. The scammers use voice over IP lines (e.g. magicjack (Ymax corporation). This is always against these companys' terms of use and can lead to termination of their contract. However only law enforcement can initiate the contact if you yourself are not a customer. Ultimately this is a case for the FBI legal attache in Islamabad or Delhi. If you are really annoyed: call or write to your representative in Congress. As these scams happen all over the country maybe this will trigger a reaction (and the NSA can finally be a force for good).

Got the same call this morning 7/22/2014. I hope they get the punishment for impersonating the IRS.

women's computerized voice saying the same thing as everyone else has posted.

Threatens you with legal action, then at the end of the message says to "Take care". LOL.
