Someone called me from this number today at 10:02 am threatening me with IRS wage garnishment and I am trying to track them. Few weeks ago, I got a call from a different number telling me that they are IRS lawyers assigned to my case. I asked them to send me the information in writing through the address IRS have on their record and they got upset. They seemed to speak with Indian accent.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

Just got the call today, August 14, 2014 at 10:09 AM.  Didn't pick up but the VM it left was a female recording to call back or else.  This is the 2nd time I got this type of call.  Blocking this number!

These is scam call. He should be paid for harassing public.

This is the second time we've gotten a call from IRS from this number, same indian accent. I played along the second time a little then told them I'd checked out the number and knew it was a scam. She said something really fast and hung up   I'm positive we have nothing due to IRS so we knew immediately it was a scam.  Plus the IRS is not going to tell you to have a nice day.  Scary the number of people who will fall for this. Will once again report to the real IRS.

This is a scam call. Pay it no mind. If they call again, tell them you will let the FBI know they are making these scam calls to your phone. This happened to my aunt. She told the women I am going to tell the FBI and the response from the women with the Indian voice said, "Please don't report me."

Got the call and an automated voice left a voicemail.  Claimed to be the IRS.  I plan to block and ignore.

They called me today. I knew right away it was one of those IRS scams.
I called them back and gave no personal info.
Once she realized that I wasn't going to play her game she rattled off a slew of anti-american anti-motherhood slurs in her beautiful Indian accent.

I received the same call this morning. Tried calling the local IRS and they said to send an email but NEVER give ID information. This was a recording from their office. I googled the number and it originates from Pakistan . This is a scam. I will give the information to the fraud department.

I received a scam call from 202 506-9570. Claiming they were IRS and not to ignore the call.

The Federal Trade Commission website is excellent for reporting the number and do not call registry for your cell phone.

Received a call from this number claiming to be the IRS, and that we must respond immediately. My husband called them back and asked for their IRS ID number and name, which the woman instantly provided. When he told them that he would be calling the local IRS office to verify her identity, she started cussing at him. I have called and reported the number to the Texas State Attorney General's office. They confirm, that the IRS will NEVER call you or email you and will only make contact by US Mail. They also rarely, if ever, hire people with an East Indian accent, or someone who will cuss you over the phone if you are not willing to hand over all your information, bank accounts, credit cards etc.!! Hopefully no one will fall for this scam!!!!

This is the old IRS telephone scam originating in Pakistan or India. Third time in the last six months I've had this kind of call. These are scumbag criminals committing a felony. Report them to the IRS and the block the number.

I got the same IRS call today. I will report to the IRS and the FCC. If enough of us do this, then maybe some action will be taken.

This happened to me as well...They left a message saying they were "Julie Smith" and I returned the call and he had a very thick Indian accent.  Before giving him any information I told him that this didn't seem right and he immediately hung up.  I guess that was legit.  What has this world come to!

My wife just got the same call this morning - claiming we need to call back IRS right away, fast-talking, mumbled the number.  202-506-9570.

Rec'd. the same call.....automated message....I could hardly understand them. Rec'd. @ 10:05 am on 8/19/2014.  Everyone please remember....The IRS does not call on the phone.   THIS IS A SCAM.....

Got the call earlier but hung up before they could talk. When I was out they called again and left a message on the machine.  Automated call (guess they realized we are on to the Indian accent) saying it was IRS, someone by the name of Smith's office, said do not ignore call and to "take care".   Scam.
