- TB| 1 replyCalled and left a message claiming to be the IRS giving a final notice and filing a lawsuit against me.
- Aerus replies to TBI got the same message. I think the IRS would send certified documents before something got to a final notice. I think it's a scam.
- Lance| 1 replyGot a message saying I was being sued by IRS and it was my final notice (first call). Wouldn't the IRS Mailike a certified notice first? Scam?
- Justice| 4 repliesIt is a total scam. They will have information on you - your mobile, home address, and your outstanding IRS claims. They will threaten you with Tax evasion, full audit, and "send police to arrest you in 30 mins". if you do not comply.
They will ask you to go to your nearest Walmart(I kid you not) to transfer monies. The IRS website clearly states this is a scam- According to the IRS, there are five things that scammers often do, but the IRS will never do:
1: Call to demand immediate payment, nor will the agency call about taxes owed without first having mailed you a bill.
2 :Demand that you pay taxes without giving you the opportunity to question or appeal the amount they say you owe.
3: Require you to use a specific payment method for your taxes, such as a prepaid debit card.
4: Ask for credit or debit card numbers over the phone.
5: Threaten to bring in local police or other law enforcement groups to have you arrested for not paying.- Caller: IRS scam call

- MidNYteStormThis is an overseas scam that has made the news.
- Rich replies to LanceI got the same message today at 5pm. I called back and they were fishing for information by asking me questions vs telling me what the call was about. The woman hung up on me when I asked what the call was about.
- DavisThey called this afternoon but when I saw that it was an outside calling area, I let the answering machine take the call. And yes, they said it was the IRS, filing a suit against us. We did not bother calling back, knowing it was a scam.
- JudithCalled by 202-602-9801 on one line, and by 202-517-3637 on other line a few hours apart with same female giving message of "Lawsuit by IRS" and "final notice". Did not answer, nor call back.
- Sue replies to JusticeThank you friend! Thought it was a bit weird I was suddenly being contacted by the IRS. Great information and thanks again.
- MaryThis is a caller claiming to be from the IRS. This is a scam. Do not give out personal information. Ask them to send it to you in the mail.
- BeverlyCalled a few minutes ago. Recorded message, female voice, claiming to be IRS with final notice before action taken against me. Said I needed to immediately call back 202-517-3637 which was the number from which they were speaking. I knew there is absolutely no reason IRS would be contacting me. I hung up and immediately googled the number to find other's who have had the same experience. SCAM!
- Caller: Said IRS--Not true
- Annie EveleighCalled my mobile number. Filing suit against me!
- Caller: IRS
- VioletI also received a call from this place, first it was a message stating the IRS has filed a suit against me due to no response of letters being sent for an outstanding balance which I do not have. Called them back requesting information, they gave me badge #'s stating they are from the IRS and that was an audit completed on me and responsible for payment of $4,200.00 due today or officers will be here to arrest me and looking at prison time up to 4-years. Asked what kind of credit card I use and requested I go to bank to pull money with a transfer immediately or they are sending it over for me to be arrested from locale authorities. Asked them if a letter was sent certified from the IRS because nothing was received and signed for to know of this and the representative wouldn't answer so then stated I have a negative bank account and nothing can be transferred or money to provide to start payment plan, so they proceeded to ask me what other credit cards I have and stated they are all maxed out with no balances available so cant pull anything there neither and they hung up on me. Called back questioning again and got different answers from each representatives and even different audit years, they began threatening me with the police and told me I am going against Federal laws and will be arrested in a half hour without immediate payment, so tried again with credit card information but wouldn't provide them. How pathetic is it to try to take money from hard working people for their own ignorance.....how about you try having an honest job and honest living!

- I have had enough scamsTOTAL scam -- pretending to be the IRS. I called to mess with them after they left a message for my elderly mother. Gave them the runaround for about 20 minutes and my "Diner's Club" credit card "number" -- after which Mr. Parker told me "F--- you" -- actually cannot believe that anyone falls for this. They actually wanted me to drive to my bank with them on speakerphone. And told me I would lose my social security number and passport.
- Caller: Claiming to be IRS
- Linda WrightCalling stating that the IRS has filed a lawsuit against me and this is my final notice. Call them back a foreign accent lady answered the call said that I owe taxes from 10 yrs ago so I started asking for information in writing and they hung up the phone.

I played along with her and she told me i didnt have alot of time cause the police were already headed my way, so i told her good cause my lawyer is here already and she hung up..... when i try to call her back she won't take my calls, just rings and goes busy.

- HeidiScam!! Has called me 5, times today called back told me I, owed $2000 to the IRS. Did not even know my address hummmmm???
- Still had enough scams ...Called once today to mess with them. Called back again from a different number -- what can I say, it is pretty slow the day before Thanksgiving. Messed with them some more purely for my entertainment. It appears that they will take you off of their call list if you let them know that you are on to them. In fact, they may block you from calling back if you tell them that you are wise to them. If you call, ask for a Mr. Samuel Parker -- I think he is the chief con artist. Bother, annoy, pester and irritate him. After all, it is the giving season. Have fun with it and make certain that no one you know (especially those at risk of being scammed) are taken by these idiots in some far off land.
- Caller: IRS -- but IRS would never call
- John Davidsonget all you friends and there friends to take a minute call the number and tell them they are no account scammers and hang up keep the lines buisy
