Monday, September 15, 2008, 11:30:18 AM, received a call from this number.
Do not know who it is, but is obviously a Washington, D.C. number.

If you call it back all you get is a busy signal.  I tried multiple times.  In my experience that's usually a scam company.

It was a factory warranty call.  Saying my warranty on my car had expired but I could still reactivate it.
I have gotten calls from different area codes with the same recording.  When I press 2 to be removed from the list, I still get a call the next day.  When I press 1 to speak to an operator, They hang up on me as soon as I say I do not want to receive these calls again.  Yesterdays call was from 205-561-2815

Does anyone know which govt agency can help us with these type of annoying people. I am sure as per the law this comes under 'Public nuisance'.

it's a "car warranty" company.  or scam.  i asked to be removed from his list and he hung up on me.  he calls every day, at least once a day.

I just got the same call from this number….

I have been receiving this call every day on my cell phone for just over 2 weeks. This time I decided to play along and see if I could get a live person on the phone.

So, I pressed 1 to speak with a representative when prompted and someone quickly picked up the line. The asked me the make and model of my car. I told them I had a 2007 Charger and they wanted to quickly move to step 2 of their scam.

This is when I said “I do no wish to receive this call anyone…”. They promptly hung up on me, before I could even finish the sentence.

Is there anyway to stop this crap from happening? So frustrating…..

I've just gotten a phonec all from this number twice today. I tried to call back but the line was busy. I was very curious who called me. Fortunately, I searched form an internet and found out this number is a scam. Thank you guys for posting this topic. It's very annoying.

ijust got this call a few minutes ago i didnt answer it becuase a while ago i got a call from a mysteriuous nuimber saying my warranty was out of date even though my car has no warranty on it, so i googled this nuumber too and found this and apparetly its the same scam

I got this call to a billion times so I hit one and when the guy said let me have ur veichle number I Said "Whait I am just 10 years old and I do not own a veichle and I asksed to be on the no call list abillion times and u still call me alot U BETTER NOT CALL ME AGAING OR I WILL FLIP OUT!" then he hung up on me!!!!!!!!!!

This is the only way to get him back....

1. agree that you want to renew the warrantee

2. then they'll ask you for a number

3. then you go "359.." And just YELL from the top of you lungs! Just SCREAM bloody murder!!! Blow his ear drum OUT!

Got a call from this number today.....some car warranty scam going on . I have been getting calls from different numbers with same recording. Wish some one knew how to stop this or report this.

I have this nuber call me alot, I use call back and asked to be removed off the list, by pressing 1 or 2, and i it seemed like I got WAAAY more calls, so now i dont answer ANY clls i dont know, i come goodle them, and 9 times out 10, there a scam.......I REALLY think im going to try the screaming in the phone suggestion tho!!! because they are VERY VERY ANNOYING!!!

I have recieved two calls from this number in the past two days, they called one night and then once this morning.. Who are they are how do they get ur number

I also just called by this number someone had asked what govt dept would help us and my response would be the Better Business Bureau.

They keep calling --please stop calling us

It's a scam. They call me twice a day. Will not remove from list. When I asked to speak with a supervisor they gave me a dial a Porn number. I had the phone company block the number and have filed a report with the fraud unit. Also I've got a buddy in FBI. Says he's going to hand it to a friend of his. We'll see?

I just got a call from that number on my cell phone -- which I've only had for a day and a half. However, I've received exactly the same call on my landline, probably at least 30 times already.  Unfortunately I don't know whether today's call was coming from the same phone number or not because my landline only told me all those other calls were from "Out of Area". But the recorded message about my car warranty expiring was exactly the same. It's gotta be some kind of scam. An extremely annoying one.
