Recd msg from a recording today - from Legal Affairs stating there is a tax fraud against me... ( mind you my name was not mentioned in msg)...even the term " legal mess"  was used/also can cause local authorities to be notified...that's all the more reason I truly believe it's a scam...they want to see who will "bite"
Remember: it's tax time....they smell money/ and if it was legit they would notify by letter (proper protocol)

I got the same message about an hour ago....

I talked to the irs and they said if they had any issue they would contact by mail first .. it use to be a foreign guy that called last year ... there trying to get as many people as they can ... it just a scam ... don't know y these people are not getting into trouble

I just received the same phone call. Said I was in trouble for tax fraud and it was a computer talking, not even a real person. I do believe that this is a scam.

Just got this,robo dialer... automated recording female computer voice, definately safe to ignore...

I've had tax issues in the past, if the irs truly wants to get a hold of you they will do so in physical mail (likely with a bunch of tax and legal paperwork, on that weird paper  only they use ) with specific information on what is wrong, what is needed, what your rights are.

I got a message saying that I was a suspect for tax fraud. Once I got the number I looked it up and found this website. Thank you everyone because I thought it was weird that my name was not mentioned and I never received a letter from the irs.

Leaving a message here on a public forum does not stop anything.
Invest in a call blocker for your land line. $39 on amazon or ebay.
My call blocker stops all calls from area code 202. Too simple.

Foreigners calling representing cash advance.  About a loan I supposedly applied for a few months ago.  Even claiming a relative may have done it.  I'm supposedly a liar as well.  Got to love foreign scammers!

Hello, This is the number called all the times, its fake call pls. remove from my list

keep getting calls from  2025456545.   could not understand caller...I asked to be taken off their call list.

I get a call from this number several times a week but I don't answer since I don't recognize the number and don't know anyone in Washington, DC.
