Just got a call ( for the third time) no one says any thing, but you can hear the boiler room going full speed in the background.  202 area code is Washington DC.

Looks like a scam call about some government grants. Called multiple times without leaving a message. I hung up after I heard the fake accent.

Six calls yesterday, and four this morning. They have not left a message yet.

Obsessively (5-6 times a day) calling me. I just ignore the call bc it is no one I know. They never leave a message.

called twice on 1/19/17 and 3 times on 1/20/17.  I didn't answer they left no msg.

I first received a call from:  +20 2 555 5444 on 1/23/17 @ 10:16a. The # showed up as being from "Egypt." Naturally, I didn't answer because I don't know anyone from Egypt. Then immediately after, I get another call from 202-555-5444 - which showed up as Washington D.C. I've gotten calls from the supposed "US Treasury" in the past - they claim that I have $10k to $20k in bonds. Of course, I hang up. However, this is unusually disturbing, as they're calling from Egypt, but are disguising it as a Washington D.C. #, because they're stupid enough to think that'd give them some type of credibility. For those of you with an iPhone 7 plus (or 7, 6 plus) and are currently updated/using the latest iOS version, you can tap the right hand side of the # in your calls (just like you're adding a new contact) and there will be an option to "BLOCK THIS CONTACT." After you block them, they can call until they're blue in the face, leave a vm and even text if it's a cell they're using, but you will never be bothered by the number ringing, a vm or text. It's like they're calling a dummy phone.
I wish people would use their creativity for good. What a waste of a human being & their time.

Im getting the same calls. When i try to call number back, it states "Call cannot be placed at this time"

I just got my number.. . How is this happening already!

Called my cell phone 4 times today (jan262017) set on line I kept saying hello and then they hung up

Just answer and say you've reached "The (insert city here) police department " They def won't call back. Works ever time!

Called 4 times,didn't answer.getting tired of all these fake calls.I registered on the no call list so far not working

I've received 2 calls today from the number, the second of which I answered only to be told I was getting a call from the Department of Treasury. The thing is, I received and "Unknown" call yesterday, remarkably ALSO from the Dept of Treasury, and the guy told me I'd been the recipient of a $9,000 grant that I'd never have to pay back. Obviously I knew this was a spam call, but, hey, maybe on the 0.000000000001% chance there was legitimacy, I asked how they got my name, how I was selected. And he told me I was selected because the government is so nice and wonderful that they pick nice citizens like me in my city and state to just, viola!, receive money.

When I challenged him for documentation, and continued to demand proof, he questioned why it seemed I didn't to receive the money and then hung up on me. I'd like to think it was in a huff because that's tickles me.

Today I received a phone call from another guy, similarly heavily-accented claiming it was grant time again. I mentioned yesterday's call and said I demanded proof. He confirmed I wanted him to send me an email but then I lost patience with the game and just hung up.

I too got a call from this number (2 times today). The first time I did not pick up because I was in class but then 10 minutes ago I got another call and picked up. I said hello twice but no one said anything and then they hung up. I'm so sick and tired of getting these scam calls. These [***] need to go and get a real job rather than trying to steal money from hard working people. Plus, I'm already on the NO CALL LIST so I don't know why I keep getting spam calls.

They have called numerous times today- first one at 7:28 am, 12:58 and 2:10 pm.
7:28 am- caller doesn't answer when I say hello - then asks for a Daniel or something like that (with a horrible fake accent) - I say- no Daniel wrong number - and with out an accent he replies like a child "WRONG NUMBER!" and hangs up on me.
12:58 called and said we could get $9,000. We hung up.
2:10 I answered and said QUIT CALLING. REMOVE ME FROM LIST- I AM TRYING TO WORK - And the caller SHRIEKS in my ear like a cat or a little girl.
ANNOYING.

They're just calling numbers at random, not you in particular.

Called SEVEN times today.  Big time scam of very poor attempt of "free government grants".
