This is a number claiming to be IRS.

They are fake

Left message saying the IRS was suing me.
Scam IRS always contact by mail first.

Just got the same thing ourselves. If it was real, the IRS would not be using a "robo caller". They would have a real person call. They would ask for you by name. And I'd bet dimes to donuts they would send a certified letter first.

This number called me and threatened me telling the IRS was suing me and I called back and they said that I was being sued for tax fraud back in 2008-2011. I was in high school these years so this makes no sense. I cursed the guy out and he hung up on me. Just a really aggressive scammer. Do not fall for it.

Robocaller voicemail with no missed call.  Claims to be the IRS.  Just got off the phone with the Department of the Treasury and they told me this is a scam.  The woman I talked with at Treasury was reporting the incident to her supervisor while I was on the phone with her.  I was part of the OPM hack, not sure if that has anything to do with this or not.

I just got a call from them today stating they are the IRS and going to file a law suit against us, as this is the final notice.  When I returned the call, it was another robot message stating they were not available and to leave a message and our phone number.  What a terrible scam this thing is, but I am sure it could possibly scare some elderly people.

I just received a call from this #. They threatened that the IRS was suing me. And if I did not cooperate that the local sheriff office would come handcuff me and take me away.  I asked the guy that sounded like he was from India if he could hold on a moment so that I may record what he was saying. He got very defensive. And as I was preparing to record him I challenged him on this is not the way the real IRS would notify individuals or threaten individuals in such manner as this. And that, as others said it would not be a robo call.
FAKE! and I'm furious.

I just got this message about irs on my voicemail today.  Reported to the donotcall.gov and another place I got from that site...tigna? Or something like that.   Hey dont tell the scammers what they r doing wrong...lol...let them remain idiotic!

I got am automated call with a robot voice saying i was being audited by the IRS. I believe this is a fraud. They said they were trying to get ahold of Jennifer #### and i said hey that's my wife and now she has my last name, so you can talk to me. He hung up on me. And the guy sounded like he was from India, but it did come up as district of Columbia

Received call saying they were the IRS and I was going to be  arested for fraud in the gov. on my 2008 2011 taxes that u did not report all my wages. And said I had to pay $3300.63 right then or gov was sending a sheriff to have me put n jail for 3 years. Also said the irs was seizing all my property I told them I needed to talk to my husband they told me I could  not hang up. I had to take care of it of it finally told me he would call me back in 5 min waited only 1 min then called me back. I did not answer.

Received a call from 202 559 0661 claiming to file a law suit.  Since when does the IRS make phone calls?
When I called this number a person with an accent from India repeated the lawsuit threat and when I asked him more questions he hung up.

Same thing happened to me today. Scared me to death

Got this call on ans.machine yesterday.just pissed me off.know it's fake.why can't they stop this crap?

Hi all.  I got this message today also.  Besides remembering that a Government agency dose not initiate contact by phone first.  Nor do they omit the name of the person they want to reach they also give a case number to refer back to if returning the call.  My message had no contact name (mine or an agent) nor a case number.  The second you do not have a case number you know it is a scam.

Same thing happened to me. I returned the call and some guy that sounded from India answer. He would not answer my questions. A big fat red flag. A scam.

Had the same message on my machine that I was being sued.  Tried to call back the number, but all I get is the person I'm trying to reach is unavailable.  Total Scam.

First part of message was chopped off but started with going to file a lawsuit against you.  Call this number to get important information about the case file.  Total scam.
