Stated to pick up $7000 from western union from US Gov.  after sending them $190.00 scam.

I got a call from "Kevin Hash" who my husband said sounded like he was from the Indian ethnicity.  "Kevin" told my husband that the government wanted to give me $7000.. After I got done laughing I called and there was no answer... scum bags

PLEASE  NOTE !!!   THESE  SCAMMERS  ARE ALSO IMPERSONATING   THE  US  GOV'T /  SEVERAL  GOV'T  OFFICES AND   PERSONS....BEWARE !!!

-  they  are   also  impersonating  DEA  officials  /  IRS  /  FAKE  LAW  FIRMS   etc....  with  threats  to  arrest you  unless  you  immediately  send money  via  wire   transfer /  western  union   to some   offshore  country  !!!!!   obvious  scam  !!!

some  are landlines...many  are  cell phones...some  are  spoofed  and  linked  to  offshore foreign call centers  /  countries !!!!
we've  traced  back  most  of  these  numbers  to  offshore  foreign    call centers mostly  in   INDIA /  THAILAND / AFRICA  /  JAMAICA  ETC....

here's a  few  other  numbers  posted  from  the   same  area  code  offering a  wide  variety  of  scams  /  fake  emails and  scams  after  posting  something  on   craigslist   (  old  scam  )  ...... collecting  for  non  existant  "  payday  loans "....free  money / scam  giveaways /  calling  on  behalf  of  a  humane  society..... $1,000's  in  free  gov't  money.........  etc  etc.....stories  change  out  all the  time......and  the  usual  nonsense!!!

**   mysteriously  call to  claim  they  have  several  thousand  of  dollars  to  send  you / give ....just  provide  your  bank  account and  credit  card   right  away   etc etc.........scam scam

Caller: "202" area  code  fake  calls ,  bogus / fraud  scam

Kevin Nash, first call from him stated I had been approved for a grant of $7000 and all I had to do was pay $149.00.  Haha, then I received a call from Mark Brown, sounded just like Kevin Nash stating their IRS depart was waiting to issue me a $10000 grant and that I needed to pay $770.00 and if I didn't send the money that the irs would issue an arrest warrant since I initiated the grant request and I owe taxes.  I told them they were scammers.  I then got a call from the same number from Nick Wilson stating the same thing so I told him to send me everything in writing specifying EXACT details of what this was about and how they got my information.  First of all they had my nickname and kept stating it was my full legal name.  

I got a call from this answer and nobody was there

I just got scam by Kevin Nass for 700 hundred dollars. And it hurt me so bad when u have a family to take care of I'm just hurt. Somebody plz how can I find my money. Help

Call the  U. S. Senate Special Committee  Hotline at 1- 855 - 303 - 9470, where they will take a report, and assist you!

Sadly, your money is probably long gone. Not much hope to get it back unless they catch these scammers and most of these scammers are not in this country.  You don't say what exactly the money went to, but most of the posts look like the ol government grant scam.

They said they had my computer address and I knew this was scam and said I had none. Insisted I had a computers and he had the address   Like the others a voice of another country.  

They called from 202-559-1837 and claimed to be from Microsoft and that our computers were being used in a crime, and we needed to clean the computer.  Unfortunately, a family member linked with the scammer through remote access software, and the computer screen turned black, and the victim then demanded the scammers get off his computers.  He turned off his computer. I asked the scammers why they did not contact law enforcement if they had information that our computer was being used in a crime. The scammers then tried to call back twice, from the same number.  We restored the computer immediately -- I was afraid the "scanning" was actually planting viruses or trackers.  

told me that my computer was being used remotely.  Gave me an address in Boston but was calling from Washington DC

The number shows Washington which uses the 202 are code..when I answered no one said anything.  I added this number to my spam list.

I received a text from 818-326-662 last number doesn’t show. It said Bank of America EDD … once I opened the text it was a new number that showed 1-202-599-1837 and it seemed like a group chat with 9 people. I know is a scam .
