Called saying they were from the IRS and if I didn't send 2500 they were going to arrest me on 5 counts of tax fraud
Called IRS and this was a total scam!

Just got one today saying that I had to call them ASAP as thius was a time sensitive issue. Did not call back. Thanks for the posting.

Received a call today stating I was being charged with two Federal charges of tax fraud and they were sending law emforcement to arrest me in 45 minutes.  It has been an hour; no cops yet.  
They did not ask for money.

Also got a call stating it was the IRS requesting I call back ASAP since it was a time sensitive issue.  Legal action would be taken against my name.  The IRS does not contact taxpayers in this manner.  First contact is usually made via the postal service.  

I got a call from 202-580-8174 July 2nd and today July 4th I called back although I could tell its not right IRS never calls ...
They told me my mom needs to call back ASAP it’s a "CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION"   and their open 24/7 ....
Very rude and demanding....trying to intimidate and scare you....

I also got a call from this number saying to call them back. I called and the phone is busy.

I got the same call today! Everyone ignore!! Called them back with different number...told them off and that I will report them. Idiots.

Total scam.  Your callers are located in India.

I've been called 3 times by this number. The caller attempts to scare you into believing you are in trouble with the IRS. It's a total scam. The real IRS would send a letter.

They called me saying it was an IRS emergency. I called back and was told I had reached the the criminal investigation division and that i was speaking to IRS Criminal Investigator Todd (can't remember now) and that I was being criminally investigated.He knew my name and address and asked for other info to verify. I hesitated because I couldn't understand why they'd call me and then he asked very nastily if I thought this was funny? I said "No I don't" and he threatened that someone would be at my residence to arrest me within 45 minutes if I wasn't cooperative. Then he hung up. I was pretty upset, until we looked up the number and realized it's a scam.

I got exactly the same phone call on 3rd of July . so I don't  need to call back or worry about it, right? Thank you so much for the hint. I've been wondering if I should return call.

Can somebody investigate these crips?

just got this, had me for 2 hrs, i want to know why the phone company and government cannot shut these guys down after the first report, call the phone company track to source even if over seas, close em down, that simple

I sa w the number of my caller ID, didn't recognize it and picked up the phone and hung up and am GLAD that I did now that I see that it;s a Scam call.  What AH's always trying to get something from people.  Why aren't they able to work and make it on t heir own.  Eventually they will get caught,,,tra la la
