They took my money

Grants Department.  They asked for bank info.  I called back this number an African American female answered and asked for additional info.  None given. Kept calling back no answer, or they pick up and hang up.  

I received a call from Grants Department. They told me that the government chose my name for a grant of 7,000 US Dollars. I Thought of believing the but I Have read so many scams about the same phone call that I recieved.

My son received a call from a man with a middle eastern accent stated he was awarded a 7k grant for school.  Asked for bank info.  He did not provide, but asked for a phone# and received 202 580 8209.

Called and said I was entitled to 7,000.00 dollars. Try to call the number and no answer. Grant funds.

They took my money and won't give me my money back

I got a call and they want to offer me a 7000 grant for being a good citizen. They told me I need to get the green dot card and  but 290.00 which they would refund to me and I would only be out the price. They where really present that it had to be the green one.

Did you apply for a grant?  If so, then you know that you DO NOT pay to receive one!  No reputable business - government or otherwise - uses pre-paid cards or Western Union - only scammers do.  If you send the money,  you'll lose $290 and never be able to get it back.
