Got a call from this number saying that I took out a loan, which I never did and he said I have a warrant out for my arrest for non payment and the total with the warrant was $390. He couldn't give me any information concerning the warrant.

I just got that exact same call as jasmine got !

I got the same message as jasmine. Did anything happen? They said they would affect my credit and call my job.  I didn't do a thing.

got the call saying i had a judgment against me for electronic check fraud and he even had the last 4 digits of my social security no. when i told him he had the wrong person i hung up the phone on him, he blew up my phone the rest of the night and the next day called my place of employment and called me a bitich and said my mom was a [***] and then my boss took the phone and he told my boss that he was a mother fer and that his mother was a [***].

Hello my name is Stephanie Johnson. I been getting this phone call saying I been writing bad check saying they are going to sue me. I don't know what they are talking about. If I do owe money, they needs to send me some proof or something.

I just got the same call but mine was for $200 and they were issuing a warrant and filing a suit against me in my home town today by 2pm today. They wanted my attorney's info and when I told them I didn't need one for them to serve me just send me the papers after they tried to get me to "settle out of court for the amount due." He said he had everything he needed and hung up! He was very thick Indian accented and rude!!!!!!!!

Stephanie; they are scammers and I am sure they told you they dont have to send you anything. Just let them know you have reported them to the FBI and the FTC, and your local authorities. They are just trying to scam you out of money you do not owe. DIRTBAGS and they should go back under the rock they crawled out from. Someone should shut them down. Dont let them bully you-they cannot touch you or take you to court-its all fake.

received a call from this number today with a similar story. It was a thick accented indian man telling me he was an attorney and federal charges had been filed against me for non repayment of a $200 payday loan I never received. He was extremly RUDE and told me that his job was to notify me of the charges and my options. I could go to court which would cost me $4-5000 or could settle out of court for the amount due of $200. He said charges would be filed in my hometown today by 2pm and he wanted the name of my attorney so he could send the papers to him. When I told him I used to work for an attorney and knew I did not have to have one for service he could send the papers to me and I would decide what to do he stated he had what he needed and hung up!

I received a message from a  man with a very very thick accent telling me there is a lawsuit against me.  He stated he had the last four of my social security number and he needed me to call him right away with my attorney's number.  I returned the call and when I wouldn't give him any information he said well since you will not cooperate you will have the police at your door within 24 hours.

some  are landlines...many  are  cell phones...some  are  spoofed  and  linked  to  offshore foreign countries !!!!
we've  traced  back  most  of  these  numbers  to  offshore  foreign    call centers  in  INDIA /  THAILAND / AFRICA  /  JAMAICA  ETC....

here's a  few  other  numbers  posted  from  the   same  area  code  offering a  wide  variety  of  scams  /  fake  emails and  scams  after  posting  something  on   craigslist   (  old  scam  )  ...... collecting  for  non  existant  "  payday  loans "....free  money / scam  giveaways /  calling  on  behalf  of  a  humane  society..... $1,000's  in  free  gov't  money.........  etc  etc.....stories  change  out  all the  time......and  the  usual  nonsense!!!

**   mysteriously  call to  claim  they  have  several  thousand  of  dollars  to  send  you....just  provide  your  bank  account and  credit  card   right  away   etc etc.........scam scam

several  of  these are  the  usual   long  ongoing  scams   such  as  :  you  have  won a  free  walmart /  bestbuy  gift  card....or  you  have  won a  free  ipad  etc......all  long  ongoing  scams

I just got the same call how do they have address

i just got a phone call and they said i was going to be arrested for something on my SS# and they are scamming people. i am get really angery and this needs to stop or im taking it to the to the cops and the us marishels office

I just got a call from this # and when I asked him what this was about and how he got my ssn he became rude so i cursed him out and told him I was going to report him he hung up so I googled the phone # i had no idea that this many people had recieved the same call.

I have been recieving a call from this number for a couple of days. and while yes I did apply for a payday loan last week, The money was never deposited and I know they did not have all my acct info. No decent attorney ever files in your town they file it in County. I checked my bank and no overdrafts, No deposit from anyone other than my job. I told them this and they had the nerve to ask if I had ever been arrested for fraud, bounced checks etc,. I said no and I told them that my bank does not do overdrafts. I told them I wanted documentation in writing the name of the loan company, and phone #. he said he had everything and Hung up!! he also stated that he was from the DEA in DC

OMG I just got a call from this number last year July 29, 2012 and I gave them 490.00 I thought it was real then somethin told me to call the 408-340-7773 number back and it was disconnected then today July 30,2912 this Indian man calls again wit the same thing and for da same loan person I knew it was somethin cuz I just paid that 490 last year and he call again wit the same name of the payday loan I said o no this ain't right so I got scared I let my sister act like a lawyer and he try and lie and say he ain't call me and he don't know what she is talkin bout and he was very rude to let everyone know this is not tru It's a scam

I received a threatening call from this number. They even left a message on my cell phone. What frightens me is that they had my social security number. They wanted the name of my attorney and said they were pressing charges against me. I immediately knew it was a scam, but how did they get my social security number and how might they use my number?
