Calls but never leaves message

This is BCR (Bureau Collections & Recovery) an India based collection agency who use a bunch of DC phone numbers. See 202-607-2806.

Never leave a message here either. No mail from them. Other callers report calls were for a previous user of that cell number, or previous occupant of their address.

This is BCR, based in Minnesota.  They commonly use 202-607 numbers as well as 205-423,503-403,731-215 and 984.  They will also spoof numbers in your own area code, usually identified because your own area code will have a long distance "1" in front of it, which is not how it is normally presented.

They also have employees who surf these sites and tell people nobody would call if they'd quite being a deadbeat and pay their bills.  The sheer number of wrong calls by these companies is irrelevant as they are trained to believe that everyone is lying to them.

Our line is a business line and this number calls atleast once a week, and sometimes every other day practically. I pick up every calls that comes through and when we pick up, they hang up. Nobody is on the line and I never receive a voicemail either.

We receive several calls from this number and they never leave a message. Information I have obtained about this number is they pretend to be a collection agency. Please make them stop.

Call sometimes 2-3 times a day. Have no idea who they are calling for. Before call block no message was ever left. They have been calling for about 9 months. Fortunately I have call block service on my Panasonic phone. One ring and they receive a busy signal. You would think by now they would realize they will never get an answer at my number.

Same thing - they call periodically all hours, rings through to caller ID, and hang up. I'm blocking them now. Getting really old. What's the use of having NO CALL LIST if you still get these calls. It says Washington, D.C. on the caller ID?

Talked to them today, real [***], I asked to remove my number and the dude just started asking if I was Melissa? Jenni? jackie? Alice? Like he would have guessed for an hour.... psycho.

Important: Congress has passed a law that makes it unlawful to spoof telephone numbers. It's called the Truth in Caller ID Act. While there are legitimate circumstances in which Caller ID may receive incorrect information without intent to deceive/defraud, a debt collection agency cannot plauibly claim to not be attempting to deceive when it transmits bogus Caller ID information.

BCR has been, I believe, playing games with me, using half a dozen bogus numbers to deceive. I am including each of those attempts in my complaints to the Federal Trade Commission in the hope that when they do get caught, they will pay a heavy fine.  

The irony: I don't have any debts whatsoever. They have no hope of collecting even a dime, but a very good chance of getting in trouble with the law, since I am documenting everything that happens.

Scumbags keep caling, no message, no one on line

this people is so anoying is there any way to stop them i am so tired of them, they ask for Judith, then they ask for my husband number how in the hell they know i am married they call many times i am so tired of them

get a phone or phone service that allows phone caller block.  my panasonic home phone allows you to save the number from the bozos and put it on your caller block list.  I get a short ring, they get a busy signal every time.  I smile when I hear the short ring.  one call and then they're gone forever.  aloha y'all

They call asking for my husband claiming to be a friend, when I say hold on there is a click in the line and then it goes to BCR. We have caller id but when they call it says error.The debt they are calling about is not ours it is my Fathers and he passed away this past spring and left no money, he had been in a nursing home.

They call and would not tell me what the call was in reference to. Keep saying it is a personal matter. I told the lady I have no personal matter with them and they should not call me back.

got a call from 202-607-2807 would not leave a message I am tired of getting calls from #'s that I do not know this is harassment and I will not answer them what happen with do not call list.

Im also getting nonstop calls from this number, that keeps pulling like 10 names out their a** trying to get my name right or see who i am or bullcrap.

This number called me today wanting to speak to my Wife and they kept putting me on hold.Wanting another number, I said she does not have a phone and they said that they would call back later.They could not discuss it with me it was a personal matter.

I have been getting calls from them and they are also using 864-642-0067. I have no debt.

My phone does not ring, my phone says I missed a call....I think this is the "spoof" everybody is talking about. Eventually these people are in for a rude awakening....Bravo to the gentleman that captured the attention of an "official person" (for lack of better terminology) to take a look at this !MANY THANKS!
