- Heather replies to Tina| 2 repliesThis number called my mother in law and scared her to death also. We went to the local police department and they said there was nothing they could do to call the IRS. How come the IRS doesnt step in and do something and what is a number to call that is not automated. Please help if you know lets put this to a stop.

- khoA caller with a heavy Middle Eastern accent claiming to be a Officer of the IRS. He stated after the audit there was fraud and stuff on my taxes. I know this is a scam for several reasons but just to let you know the IRS will send you an offical letter if there is any questions about you taxes (it will be a bill for what they think you owe them), but it will be an offical letter, the 2ed reason I know this is a scam because the phone number i gave to the IRS is not the number they called me on and due to my income status I have not legally been required to file taxes for a few years now and I haven't. THIS IS A SCAM and hopefully no one falls for it. But if you honestly think it might be legit, use the internt and contact you local IRS field office. If you have a case with them, they will know and direct you to the correct person.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number. - CWG40Hard core Indian or Pakistani scammer/extortionists are calling you and they want your money. They want it by Green dot money pak which is untraceable. Don't fall for it.
- CWG40 replies to HeatherNothing can be done to them because they are hard core Indian or Pakistani scammer/extortionists and are beyond the reach of US law. Protect yourself with a call blocker and do not pick up on call numbers you do not recognize.
