They call and say they have 7,000.00 from the Government as a reimbursement for having not filed bankruptcy in the past seven years. To get the money you have donate 99.00 to the foundation in India to help feed hungary children.

I received a call stating that the US Treasury is awarding grants to candidates selected by lottery. They state that the money you receive has to be used legally, and you were selected for paying your taxes, not filing bankruptcy, etc. They provide a code and another phone number to call and ask a bunch of questions to verify your identity.
When you call the number they provide (I wasn't a believer, but I was curious to see where it was going), they provide three different options for receiving your cash and ask you to put in a security deposit. Mine was $220.00.

Got a call from this phone number that represents themselves as "The Federal Govt, department of health and human services" and the had "free" grant money for that they would Western Union to me as soon as I bought a GREEN DOT MONEY PACK from my local store and gave it to them to secure m.y "transaction" and code number to get my money. The person I Spoke to had a very heavy middle eastern accent and one fella said his name was Oliver Brown and one said his name was Mark Snyder??? Right.
When i first asked where they were located one said in Washington DC and gave an address and "Mark" said "in a country you do not belong to"
with that I called Mark a dog and told him whst would be done to him should I ever meet him and I wonder if the US Govt or Western Union would like to know they were using there good name in thier scam... to that they hung up. I think I might just keep the number and when the mood hits me call and harass the piss out of them! Anyone want in on that fun...spam calling!

I got a call too and for a few minutes i thought what a kick in the pants it would be to have 8500$ in my wallet today then there was the catch...250$ on a green dot money pack. I shouldn't have to pay for a free grant. So delusion over. I'm telling Big Brother!

I received a call from this number stating that I have been qualified for free grant money.  When I called the number they gave me for "Senior Finance Manager" a lady with a heavy accent answered and explained that I was going to received $8500, but I needed to provider her with a $300 deposit.  I told her it sounded fishy and she got defensive with me and told me that if I decide to call back and pay the deposit money, they money would be waiting at my local Western Union or Money Gram.  What a crock of S$#@ that was.

Also received a call. This was actually the third call I had gotten involving free government grant money. This first one was for $10,000 about 2 weeks ago. I told them I wanted a check sent to me in the mail. Still waiting. The second was for $7500 and I told them I was not interested. Today I got a third call for $8500 so I decided to play along. I told them I wanted option 2 which was "cash in my hand" from Western Union. After being transferred to a supervisor, I was given this number to call back with the Grant number. I called and and was given the same crap as others. This is free money, just need to purchase a $250 green dot pack. I told them that I should not have to purchase anything to get a grant from the feds. When I asked what branch of the feds they were, I was told Health and Human Services. When I asked for their address (now this part is really funny) I was told 1600 Pennsylvania Ave, Washington DC!! Haha.  I can't imagine why these scammers think I am going to believe that they are calling me from the White House!!

Recieved a call from the number 567-890-9876 telling me to call the 202-621-0867 number.
The caller from the 567-890-9876 number told me i was selected to receive a grant from the US treasury and i could collect the money having it deposited in to my checking account, deposited on to one of my credit cards or having cash sent to western union.  Just for the heck of it, I  told them cas from Western union (Iwas not going to give them bank account or credit card information)  - that is when I was told to call 202-621-0867.  Which I have no intention of doing.
