He called and asked for me and as soon as I asked who was it, he asked if it was me again, he said he wasn't going to mention his name until I confirmed it was me the person he wanted to talk to. So then he said he was calling from a law firm regarding some type of fraud, *****he has already called me before from a different # telling me the same thing****** if he calls you just blow him off and tell him that all his #'s have already been reported to all Investigation Bureau*********

Just received a call from someone w/very thick accent. Said he was calling from law firm; threatened to have me arrested tomorrow morning and said the police would come to my place of employment and my home address; would not give me any information but said he would connect me with someone who could answer my questions.

kept telling me that they were from a law firm trying to settle a $17,000.00 debt that i know nothing about. they also said that if i pay a something on it , i cant remember  what they said, somewhere between $250 & $500 within a hour it would be settled .they also had an accent as well , they were very rude and would'nt let me speak , saying they reported me to ssi and i will not be getting my benefits until the case was settled... can someone please help me on thius situation

Received phone call from this number at my place of employment stating they were a law firm trying to collect on a fraudulent account.  Threatened to have me arrested at my place of employment if I didn't pay them something.  Would not give me specific information.  Would not tell me where they were located.  The man said his name was John Miller and he was very rude.  Continued to threaten me and would hardly let me speak.  I have received numerous phone calls from this number in the past week and have told them repeatedly to stop calling me.

They called me at my place of employment and left a message for me to call. When i called back they said they were calling about a loan they say i took out and never paid back. They said they will have me arrested as early as tomorrow and threatening me about losing my job. They told me they couldnt give me any information to hire an attorny and never to call back only my attorny. The make who called and left a message said his name was Shawn Whilliams i believe and it was a rude woman i spoke with.

Received phone call from a man with a very strong accent that told me I had a legal case against me.  He asked me if I was aware of the legal case, I said no and he said he would transfer me to a paralegal.  He transferred me, I spoke to the woman with a very strong accent and was not friendly as well.  She told me there have been freud charges pressed against me and they would come to my place of employment to arrest me.  The charges supposedly come from American Cash.  Said they put money in my account and for whatever reason were unable to take the money back from my account when the loan came due.  I remember applying for pay day loans (I was in a financial crunch at the time) but funds came through and I ended up not needing a loan so I never responded to emails to accept the money nor was money ever deposited or attempted to be withdrawn from my account.  Until this moment I have not received any letters attempting to collect a debt or emails.  I tried to tell her this and asked for her proof.  She said I would have to get my own attorney and fight the case which would cost upwards of $6K.  She then said if I could pay the entire balance, $689.23, she might could get her attorney to stop all charges.  I told her I would out of sheer panic of the thought of being arrested, she put me on hold for a few minutes to get approval and came back and told me it was approved.  Instructed me to go to WalMart, get a green dot money pack voucher and call her with the numbers from the voucher.  Told me I needed to do this within the next hour.  She was unable to give me any type of proof regarding the charges against me.  After I got over my initial freak out and read these things online I DID NOT go to WalMart to get the green dot voucher (which is not traceable).  If I get any calls from this number again I just will not answer.

Will this guy name Steven McDonald called me and said he was from a law firm and telling me that I had a loan out from American Cash the amount of 200.00 and that they were going to arrest me at my place of work and take me to see a judge and I told him I don't recall any thing to do with this loan and that he was wrong and I don't know how he got my new phone number and my bank info because I haven't had the bank that long so I don't know how he can tell me that I have a fraud case against me when I don't recall American Cash at this point he also was rude with me on the phone and he was also trying to get me off the phone so I don't know why people have to do this to people just to get money from us will I also called the police on him cause everyone told me payday loans don't do this to people so why did he do this he was rude as f*** I'm so mad at this this needs to stop

I got the same call and he said the same thing to me and he could not answer any of my question either. He kept saying let me connect you to the officer and he said I would be arrested at 11am.

Some man called me said his name was John, stating he was from a law firm,, and I owed  over 5,000 dollats and I was going to be arrested, if I didnt pay the amount, I told him I dont know what u r talking about dont call me again, he left a crazy message, warrant for my arrest, that I would spend 9 months in jails so start packing my bag.. If this number call im wont answer..

The exact same call has happened to me after calming down from my inital freak out I have reported them to the FBI and to the Federal Trade Commission.  I recommend that everyone that gets calls like this does the same thing.  For me they messed up by saying that I could not pay with a credit card but that I HAD to get a green dot money pack from walmart

He called and asked for my step father i explained he wasn't here and he asked could I take a message when I was finished taking the message he asked me to repeat it. I  informed him that I had it then hung up. he called right back and told me to go back to my country cause I was an ignorant blackie!!!! It's been over an hour and he is still calling back. I don't know if this some kind of joke, but I'm not amused.

All I gave the chance to say was that he was calling from an (unnamed) law firm with news about my pending arrest. I then hung up.  He called back immediately.  I picked up, and immediately put the phone back down.  He called back the third time, I didn't say anything when I picked up, he said "why you hang up on me", and something again about being arrested.  I hung up.  Those 3 came within a 5 minute period.  Ten minutes later, a repeat of #3.  Numbers 5, and 6; I didn't pick up.  With Vonage, I have a web record of the calls.  I copied that, and wrote to the FCC complaint department, filling out their form.

scam scam scam! they keep calling my job and cell im so embarassed.

He's trying to scare you into giving him money for no good reason.  If you have caller ID don't answer his calls.  If you answer one by accident, hang up on him.  You can swear at him if you want to.  It may not do any good but it will make you feel better.

called me today four times from this number and also my work number!!!! I do not know who they are very thick accent and telling me I am being sued - I do not want any calls from this scam artist

I want to have them arressted this is illega  how do we do this?

Called my home and my wife said that I was not home and he told my wife his name was Justin Logan and worked for Gardner and something Law firm and that I would be arrested on Monday morning.  That I needed to call him as soon as possible.  My wife called me and gave me the number and the name and I called him.  He told me that I was going to get arrested on Monday, I asked him what it was about and he said that I had cashed some checks from somewhere overseas and I needed to pay it back.  I told him that I have not cashed any checks then he said it was put in my bank account.  My wife and I just filed bankruptcy and I have no money I had to close our accounts.  He also had the last 4 digits of my social security... I am tired of people calling me like this, we live month to month .  These people that come in this country and try to get the american people in trouble is beyond me.  I think they all need to be locked up for the fraud that they are doing to the poor people.
