Leaves no message but caller ID says "dept of treasury." Other sites report this number as a tax scam.

Just now got a call from some Arab speaking clown saying this was a legal matter demanding to speak to my wife I told him that his call has been reported to the FCC & the FBI and there was silence on the other end....P

Foreign sounding person saying they were with the IRS and that I had committed tax fraud.  When I responded with silence he said to forget the call and hung up.

Did not leave a message but on the phone screen it shows Dept of Treas 1-202-622-3000.  Did not leave a message but I've heard the  scam message several times in the past.....One time I told the man that I had reported them to the IRS and the FBI, he hung up...

Just got another call from this guy with a heavy foreign accent, asking to speak to me.  The name of caller on my caller ID states Treasury Dept.  202-622-3000. He said that i owe the IRS some money, and if I didn't pay immediately I would get a  penalties and jail time.  I told him that the IRS does not call people.  They send a letter. He asked "didn't you get the notice?" When I said "NO" he hung up.    I know it's a scam, I'm just not sure how to report it to the FCC or FBI.

Just got a call like the ones already posted. Asked for my daughter stating legal matter with the United States Treasury. I hung up.

Told me I was being investigated for tax fraud. I had a few choice words for him and he hung up.

"US Legal Affairs." The guy had a heavy accent . I said, "Scam! Do you think we were born yesterday? Where you calling from, India, Nigeria?" He got upset and said, "This is Pakistan! Then he realized he was an idiot and hung up, LOL.

Just received call from 202-662-3000.  Ridiculous idiots with accents so thick I could not understand him. When I challenged his statements and told him to send me a letter entailing what he was calling about he started acting like he couldn't hear me and then told me I had a warrant out for me and hung up.  Getting ready to also report to DoNotCall Registry and I recommend everyone here do the same.  https://www.donotcall.gov/

I just got the same call. I asked his name and number so that I could check him out with the IRS. He said his name is Daniel Taylor, number 5592037078.

Called identified her/himself as Lee Jones with legal affairs - calling about my outstanding tax debt. I said I was recording the call and s/he hung up. English seemed a real struggle for him/her.

Just got the same call and he told me all the same things that all of the postings are saying. Don't people have anything better to do.
He even told me authorities will be at my door in 2 hours.

Got a call....the caller id said Dept of Treas 1-202-622-3000. I picked up the phone but was silent; after a minuite he hungup.

Haha.. Just got a call from this number.. I played him like a fool.. Indian sounding guy.. Answered his questions with questions.. He wasn't even aware I was doing it.. Lmao.. Then after he went all silent and hung up.. I called the number back.. It is a disconnected treasury number..

This Arab CLOWN told me there is a warrant out for my arrest. I said ok Felicia 😂😂 buh bye now loser

Same call as all above.  I knew it was a scam, I could hear numerous people on phones in the background scamming others.  He caught on that I new and hung up.
They think we are idiots!

Received a call from this number yesterday .They did not leave a message.  ID said it was
US Treasury .Called the number and it said it is not a working number.

Same story- only it was Simon Jackson. I wanted to say: you mean Andrew Jackson but I doubt he would get the joke.

You can add my name to the list. I guess that I am going to jail after I go to confession for what I told him over the phone. Ha ha
