- Loni| 8 repliesGot a call from this number from a Ms Wells, stating that she had a felony warrant for me out of CA. That I should contact one of the lawyers in this firm. No name of firm was offered just this phone number. I am trying to find out who this is with out calling them back so if anyone else has gotten a call from them please post. I found this very strange because I just had a background check done and nothing of this came up.
How do I stop these types of calls? Who do you report them too? - same call replies to Loni| 6 repliesIt is a financial crimes division i unfortunately had a same call there are attorneys there. They needed a statement from myself and had almost went to jail for not calling back..im glad i did..wasnt a scam
- Sir Bedevere replies to same callYou are a liar.
- ShillKill replies to same callYou are a liar and a thief. Debt is a civil, not a criminal matter. Although it would not surprise me if you have an extensive criminal history for a vast array of degenerate and otherwise reprobate behavior, it is not associated with receiving a debt collection call.
But thank you kindly for attempting to plant false information on the internet in furtherance of a criminal enterprise so we could call you out on it and expose your scam. Now, every time citizens who have the misfortune of being contacted by the scumbags at this number search it out on the Internet they will find this thread and realize it is a scam.
Have a great holiday season! - DeletedMedia replies to same call“financial crime divisions, -and- there are attorneys there”?
Pray tell, which State Financial Crime Division, and what State Bar Assoc. might that be? - ANonieMouse replies to same call>>> had almost went to jail for not calling back..im glad i did..wasnt a scam <<<
That's right. If you hadn't called back, they would have rushed out to your place with SWAT reinforcements within the hour and carried you right into this courtroom where THIS fate awaited you:

And that's really how it works. You had better be able to sing like a jailbird, or at least a skilled, Broadway singer, or else you'll do the time because you're GUILTY! - CelticDragon replies to same callIf it looks like a shill, acts like a shill and posts like a shill, it's a shill! Capitalization and punctuation is horrible!
- lori replies to LoniOMG! Its christmas eve just after noon - and a man calls my young daughters cell phone from here looking for her older brother by name! SAME THING! says there's a warrant out for him and he needs to respond within the hour or they'll send people after him! Thank god we have nothing to worry about with my son! He laughed out loud, and spend they day reassuring his scared sister. NOW THIS IS CRIMINAL if you ask me, It was a man, but when you call back - its a woman's voice on the voice mail and no one ever responds.
- lori replies to same callyou are a liar
- MichelleI just received two phone calls back to back!! Supposedly, I am going to be arrested within the hour for owing bills?? Really, then the jailhouse is going to be awfully crowded with most of America. This is ridiculous, how do they get away with doing this? If ANYONE says these are real, they are just as idiotic as the people calling. Get a life people. Yes, I owe money for bills, it is a civil matter, IF they were that delinquent, not CRIMINAL. It is just awful how they try to intimidate people.
- Ed| 1 replyWe received a similar call in Florida from "Amy Walters of the Financial Crimes Division of Washington, DC." But it is for my brother-in-law who lives in another state. We considering it a prank or attempt to extort money.
