Left automated message seemingly cut off at the beginning to call for more information about this case file and to please call immediately on department number.  I was concerned it was regarding mis-use of a credit card number so called back.  Person claimed to be with IRS and that there were charges against me, that I should have received a letter confirming the same.  They had an address they tried to validate but it was not accurate.

Said they were from the IRS.

Called me three times in the scope of a single morning with the same automated message about an alleged IRS lawsuit. FYI the IRS will never alert you of action by phone (they send notices in the mail), and will certainly never file a lawsuit against an individual without attempting to resolve issues or collect through other means first.

This is a scam call designed to scare people into thinking they owe tax they don't actually owe and pay it to a party that isn't really the IRS. Block and move on.

I received three messages from this number within a couple of hours today. They left an automated message that was cut off requesting a call back pertaining to a lawsuit from the IRS.

This is a scam! I received an automated message that "they were filing a lawsuit". Note, if someone files a lawsuit, you would get a mailing of paperwork pertaining to the lawsuit. I know this as I am an attorney! Simply, funny that they would call me! Bring IT ON...

My brother's home phone received the same automated ""IRS" law suit again them claim", very annoying. It's the scam. IRS will never call you on the phone in the law suit or tax matter, IRS will send it by MAIL, my local TV news did have the same subject a couple weeks ago. Don't fall in the scam!

Heck, I don't need to call anyone for further information about lawsuits!  Lawsuits always come with plenty of information flowing to us through the mail.  The caller is kidding his own self.  If he calls back too much, I'll block his call from ringing.  No big whoop.

They claimed the IRS filed a lawsuit against me and to call this number.  I called it but I could not understand a word the person was saying because of their strange accent.

Just received the same call...same message.  202 640 0113 Called 5 times within 6 hours.

Received 5 calls from this number today, all robo calls. Stating that I was being sued by the IRS. Major scam!!!
Please remember that the IRS will never contact like this.
Block the number and report it to the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY

WHY?  I don't understand why someone would set up a scam like this, pretending to be the IRS with a lawsuit against me...?  What do they get if I call the phone number (which I won't).  They called twice in the last 2 hours.

Called me at 4:15AM & again at 5:30AM. Called back bc all I hear are "IRS lawsuit" & being woken up TWICE, no answer. Glad to see there are websites saying its a scam! Now I can TRY n go back to sleep for another hour before getting up & get ready for actual WORK unlike these jerk faces!!

Called at 9:20 this morning; left no message.  Now blocked.  I get lots of DC nuisance calls from area code 202 and may soon block the entire area code!

I received a call from this number as well.  I didn't answer it, but they left a voice mail requesting a call back.  No way!  So glad I googled and saw these alerts.

Scam.  Thanks all you folks who reported this. Thank you to the Bellingham Herald for the article. It helps those who don't have computer access or are too trusting.  I often search Google to check it out by entering the phone number .  My heart goes out to innocent folks with cognitive impairments.
