A automated recording  calling from this number called and said it was the final attempt to contact us before IRS filed a lawsuit against us.  So relieved that I googled the number to find out it was scam before I called it.  Who knows what they use your telephone connection for when one returns the call.  Please be warned!  They are low firm of human beings!

Me as well. Did not reply to phone call, so I do not know the consequences.

Nobody has time for this bogus crap. Called saying final call before they file a lawsuit. No one answers when you call back. They picked up after five minutes and hung up.

I received a call from these people on my cell phone. They had been calling my work number for about 2 months without leaving any type of message. This as the first time they actually left some sort of message to let me know who they were. I knew it was a scam because I doubt the IRS would call to inform me of a lawsuit. They don't call anyone!  I called my carrier to have the number blocked.

Just got the same phone call...  First of all, when you dont owe anything, first clue this is a scam.  Thanks everyone for the post on here!!!

I received the call as well. I've never been sued by the Irs, but in guessing an actual person would try to contact first-not a recording.

The IRS will never call you regarding tax matters. They will always send a certified letter via the USPS.

Received the same call twice, called back this morning and it just rang for over a min

Received two calls relating to the IRS filing a lawsuit against me.  The first was 202-640-3413.  Second call was 202-640-0414.  I knew it was a scam, but googled both numbers anyway!  I did not return either call.

left voice message stating that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against me and to call them at 202-640-3413.

Scammers masquerading as the IRS hit my answering machine too. I wish these people would spontaneously combust.
