This guy wants to buy my Cavalier but, only wants to use PayPal. I no nothing is safer than cash. I'm not going for it.

Earlier this week I had just posted on Craigslist, when an Anne K. texted me from this number several times over a 48 hours period, wanting to purchase my vehicle for her nephew.  Finally she gave me a Gmail address and I sent additional information and photos.  Said she was an engineer and was not available for meeting me in person to negotiate the purchase.  I repeatedly indicated I did not have a PayPal account, but then acquiesced & said my U.S. government lawyer son in DC had one I would forward him her request.  With her 202 area code I also indicated my son lived near her and could meet to finalize the details.  It’s been near 24 hours and no response, so wow thanks all for your posting to warn others.

I too received a text regarding an ad on craigslist from Anne Kramer 202-643-0279.  Thank you for the comments as I was getting my hopes up.

Yes....me too!!  My husband is so brilliant....he knew something was up when she wanted to pay immediately without seeing the vehicle through pay pal.  Her story was buying it for her cousin as a surprise...only it gets worse!  I told her that my husband would take care of the business asspect and that she needed to call him.  Her response was that she couldnt speak with him because she is a "def" woman!!!!  i'm so shocked that people can be so shallow!!!  Nice job Anne Kramer....looks like your very well liked....sleep well!!!

Same here, she wanted to by a desk for her nephew I have for sale on Craigslist.Then wanted me to send her money to have it shipped to her.I asked her to call me and she said the satellite base was down,that's why she could only text and very persistent about a pay pal account! ....come on ..really???

To stop the Craigslist - Kijiji scammers is very easy. These sites are NOT eBay. Just put in your ad the following statements (1) "Local only, Cash only". (2) You will NOT return the message of any text that asks about sending you checks, or Paypal. (3) You will not return the message of any text that contains a link to another site. (4) At some point, you and the buyer must talk in person. Do that, & 100% of the scammers vanish.

I got texts from this number regarding my Craigslist item for sale. Wanted to pay me ASAP and wanted my Paypal info. Suspicious , I researched the number and found these warnings.

Got a text from this number today claiming to be Mary. I guess Ann got fired. I have a motorcycle on Craigslist. Same line wanted to buy it for her nephew by pay pal. Full price didnt want to see pics. Big red flag. Thank you to this site. She text me back asking for the PP addy , I said my you have quite a large following on scam alert !!! Haven't heard from her since

I placed an Ad on Craigslist to sell a car.  Then shortly after received a text from 206-643-0279 wanting to know the condition and final price awaiting my response.  It just didn't sound right.  Googled the phone number and my suspicions turned out to be correct.  Thank you for posting this scam.

i had a gocart for sale mary texted me with out haggling on price wanted to pay with paypal only. said she senbt paypal money but before i could get money had to send money westernunion to freight company then paypal would send me my money..  scammer  no money ever sent. emailed me with confirmation and everything looks real convincing but paypal said it was scam dont do it they haver nothing to do with western union....

Mary Cornell is at it again in Craiglist asking for paypal information to scam sellers.
She wanted to know my email and name on my pay pal account, but when I checked the # I found all this posting and texted back" to go an scam someone else"

Contacted me wanting to buy my motorcycle and requested my Paypal info right away so he/she could pay me. Sounded too good to be true.

Posted a Honda Rebel for sale.  Got a text saying:  "if this is still for sale.  Kindly get back to me with its condition and your final asking price for it".
