So I was on POF a few months ago and talked to this girl, i dont remember much of the convo because it was a depressing time for me and I was under the influence, however she did have a 202 area code. Anyways so we talked and she wanted to move towards texting so we did, not long after she started sending explicit photos then mentioned she was 16, now I do not remember if I sent anything, but I do remember deleting the number and blocking it. A week later I get a call from a man who sounded black and was just cursing up a storm, and using the name "Missy" and after saying he had the wrong number I hung up and blocked the number (the dads number is 202 643 7974

Now a few months later I get a call from an investigator Perry with the number 405 757 4982. Keep in mind I live in Colorado and this is an oklahoma area code. So he proceeds to ask if i remember this conversation and would not explain any details regarding the messages or number except that it was a 202 number. Eventually it dawned on me the brief conversation and said I think i recall, so he says the father wants to speak with me and he will call me shortly, turns out shortly was 5 hours at 10pm, so we are on a 3 way call with the father, and they wanted to come to a civil agreement asking for a letter of appology and in addition 380 dollars for the daughters phone disconnection fee and the cost of the phone, who apparently was sent to a state run rehabilitation center. Now the kick here is the investigator sends me an email from a jperryusmc60@gmail.com with a photo of a greendot moneypak asking me to send him a photo of the back and he will pass it on to "Mr. Smith". So wednesday they get the money and i do not hear from them until friday morning claiming he was trying to get ahold of me and that the family needed 1200 dollars because their insurance fell out and if that wasnt paid by the next day the state would take over and press charges on me, idiotically i paid (they used the 380 and i paid the difference). By this time i finally get ahold of an attorney who tells me this was all a scam, and a damn good one at that. That night the investigator says his phone was turned off and his office phones were down, all paperwork would be sent soon (been 2 weeks) and wanted to keep in touch via email. This was 2 weeks ago and I am still getting emails from the invetigator "checking up on me"

Has anyone had any similar experiences with this?
