Grant for 9,000 SCAM!!!!

I just got a call from them and when thae say u got to pay 200 i hug up boy that relly sluck

Just got a call from them and after refusing to give any credit card information, almost fell for the Walgreens bit, but then thought better than paying to recieve money, didn't sound right.

$900 federal grant scam. Says info collected from a gov't survey and that I needed to choose a store for the gov't to send a check to then call 202-657-4642 within 1 hr to speak with a manager to get the money

Just receive a call from this guys and the scamer couldnt even speak english

just called my dads number asking for me and was asking me to tell them which store to send the money to so i could pick it up just had to buy a card for 4.95 and then place 200 dollars on it in order to increase the amount it could hold to 9000 psssh please u dont have to put money on a paypal card to increase the amount it can hold

Just got a call from some guys about a 9000 grant but I had to buy a green dot card from Walmart and deposit 200 to get a 9000 grant.  They almost had but it was to good to be true  

I just got a call for a grant for 9,000.  Thanks for letting me know that it is a SCAM.

Just got a call from this guys and saying that i was slected out of a thousand to recieve a 9,000 dollar grant from the gov said all i had to do was have two hundred dollars on a card and they would put 9,000 on it. Haha right its a scam love how people try to do that.

Just received a call from an unidentified number asking me to call 202-657-4642 for a $9,000 free grant. Sounds fishy to me

I have been getting call on my house phone and on my cell phone from 202-657-4642 . This has been going on for months and I've asked them to take  me off this call list. what can I do about being  bothered by them .can someone help/

I got the same call today - 9/8 - strange - he didn't get any of my information... but told me I won 9,000 federal grant and I had to call the number 202-657-4642.  I called - no one answered - then I did a google search and found this information. . thanks everyone -

Just received a call about getting $9000 in free grant money was told to call 202-657-4642 ask for Jeff Newman I called him he said go to western union pay a fee of $200 and I would get my $9000 I told him I don't think so and hung up, what a scam.

Is there a way to inform the police about this calls. They have my name my address offering a grant from the government $9,000 this is not the first time they call.

Got the same call - the person was hard to understand and said I had been randomly selected to receive $9000 in grant money.  Then he told me I could receive it 3 ways - one being direct deposit to my account.  I took down the number & googled it.  It sounded really suspicious & he got no information - thanks for posting everyone.

I suggest when u call give them false info maybe if enough ppl do this theyll b too busy to call..I was supposed to call this number and talk to Jeff Newman but instead I called and gave them a load of crap...jaja mischeivious me!

I got the call from the original number 202-738-1738 this morning, just 20 minutes ago. They relayed some personal information about me back to me such as my name and address (which you can get from public record), but then asked what my current age was, so I threw out a random number. They said they needed to clear this info so they could give me a number, 202-657-4642, and  a confirmation number to call that  2nd number with so I could receive my free $9,000 grant from the government. I gave very vague answers to the first call such as: "Alright, mhm, correct, I have not" etc. This way they couldn't have me recorded as saying "yes" to anything. The man was very adamant about getting me to call the second number right after I hung up, instead I contacted the real FTC and filed a complaint.
