Caller called asking for bank account nunbers.

This guy called telling me that the U.S. Goverment is awarding me $6500.00 because I payed my taxes and bills on time when I know that is inaccurate because, we are filing for Ch. 13.  And said that he needed our bank account information so he can have the funds deposited into my bank account by 11:00 AM on Wednesday and that we have to use the money wisely and may not use it on gambling and we don't even gamble.  And when I asked them for documentation supporting the fact that I have this money coming to me, he hung up on me so, I called back again and again and again till he finally answered and I said "THIS COMPANY FAKE"!!!!

Man called stating her was from US gov't. He had a foreign accent. He stated I would be getting $4000 rom the US gov't for paying my taxes on time the past few years. (I was 1 of 200 randomly selected people in PA). He verified my name and went on to my address which was my previous one from a year ago. If he was from the government, you would think he would have my updated address that I filed with last year. He wanted my account numbers and would not send me a check. I got a call back number, but never called back. I saw these replies and decided it was best not to.

Received a call did not answer. When I called number back a man answered just hello no business name

Just got a call from this number; same man with the foreign accent stating that I was going to receive $3600.00 for paying my taxes on time. Told the man that I've never had to pay taxes (single mother of two) as I always get a refund. I told him I'd have to verify and do a little research and less than five minutes later he called back very eager to know if I "called the number back".  I told him I was doing some research and he honestly sounded upset that I was not taking his word.  Insisted on telling me that "This is the U.S. Government, they aren't out to hurt you, just to help you".  Uh... NO

I got a call from this number today. The first 2 times that they called I let it go to voice mail. When they called a 3rd time i answered it thinking it was a call from Iraq where my friend is. When I answered the phone he told me that I was going to be getting money from a Goverment grant. I hung up on him.

Man with accent stated that he is with the U.S. government and he wanted to give me $5600.00 but needed my Visa check card account number.

Same call, I am in PA also. So that is 2 of the 200 in PA. I laughed at him and he did not like that all. I hung up on him and he called back and asked why I hung up on him and then I said of all the weekends,to call we are desperate for new government and how dare he with his foreign accent try to scam me. And hung up again.  I apologize for those honest immigrants that work hard but I am hurting like other Americans and can't wait until Tuesday.

I am a special agent who recieved the same call as you folks did, gave him a fake name and cc number and am currently tracking the company and thier activities...

I got the call too. All the same questions. People can be sooo PATHETIC. But we were smart enough not to give out any info. Same guy; out of DC.

My son got the call too but little did they know my son is in the army so if there was any kind of grant coming to him he would know about. My son laughed at him the guy hung up and my son kept callin him back laughing at him. He was mad LOL THIS GUY HAS TO BE STOPPED!!! cuz one person is gonna end up giving him the info he wants and then thats all she wrote.

Got the exact same call this afternoon. Indian accent, only answered "hello" when I called back, said $4000 then slipped later and said $5000. He asked for bank account numbers and I hung up. Complete tax return scam.

Got a call from a guy with a forgein accent telling me he could have $4000 in my bank account tomorrow to spend any way I wanted.  Man stated he worked for the federal government and was assigned to contact people about this money. Said I was one of 400 people chosen because I have filed my income taxes on time.  I informed him I have not paid my income taxes "on time" for the past 3 years and if he was realy with the government, he would know that.  He stated it didn't matter because I was chosen out of a lottery. (I really have filed on time).  When I told him I work for the Federal Police and would be sending his information on to Washington DC to have him checked out, he hung up on me.

I recieved this same call execpt for I gave this guy all of my information. I'm calling my bank and cancel my card. Could someone give me somemore information concerning this matter.

did anybody find out information on this guy that has been calling people to get their bank account numbers and debit card numbers could you please give me some information about it

Stats I will receive money due to me paying my taxes on time. Do not want phone calls any longer.

I had the same call to my cell phone from the same number it was bs i told the [***] i turned him in to the feds and he asked why i told him he was trying to scam the funny thing he had all my numbers already and i was like how do you know everything and he said its in the database so i turned him into the feds for fraud. and now i had to turn my social security in for an alert and my bank i hope he dont mess with my tax returns.

Phone call from James Williams representing US Govt. Federation Grant Dept.
200 Independence Ave., Washington DC..or so he claims.  I told him to send me a check since they had my address and phone number.  He put his Manager on...David Williams!..what a hoot!...

PLEASE.... DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE? ANY BANKING INFO/Pesonal info etc.

JUST HANG UP!!!! and REPORT THIS CALL!!!

I got the same call today stating i was to get 5700.00 and when he asked for a card number i hung up then he called back several times. when i put my father on he repeatedly said "why'd that bi**h hang up on me. Im glad i wasnt the only one, i started to get nervous when he kept calling back.

I got the same call today, He told me he wa going to give me $5,600.00. Also said he was from the gov,and that I had to spend it wisely and not on gambling. He asked for accounts, which I do NOT have any, and when I told him so he was irrate, I asked again who he was and who again he was representing, He asked me why I was asking him questions when I did not even have a bank account, I told him that I had his number and the call was being recorded, He then called me a f'ing b*t*h, actually he called me that several times, because I would not give him any info and then he called me that with adding to suck his d*c*. which I then replied that I know he was not from our gov, due to his inability to speak well enough english and well he said the same thing, to which I replied I was sure he did not even have one and hung up on him, he made several attempts to call me back but I did not answer. I believe this is a shame that we have to deal with these types of calls. I am not understanding where he recieved my info from since the phone he called me on is not in my name and it was my name he used, and he did have my correct home addy that was just changed a couple of weeks ago.
