Got a call from a Private number claiming to be the IRS. Automated robo call stating that this is the final notice before IRS will sue and to call 202-657-5797.

Got a call from a number in Columbus Ohio claiming to be the IRS.  Automated robo called stating that this was the final notice before the IRS would sue and that I should call 202-657-5797. BEWARE

We received a call today from this number, when i attempted to call it back it just rang and rang. I then goggled it and found this post. Good to know we were not the only one

I just got the exact same call, from 413-985-5557, supposedly in Massachusetts.

Received a voice message on my landline phone indicating it was the IRS and this was a final notice prior to filing a lawsuit. I was told to call back 202-657-5797. The caller ID # was 725-590-6514.

I just received a call from 202-657-5797 Claiming to be the IRS with final call and that they were going to fill lawsuit against me.  

when you call a "business" before office hours you get a recording with the company name and business hours. If you get a recording that says the number you have reached is unavailable at this time there's a problem! The bad part is my poor husband got so freaked out his blood pressure went sky high. These people need to be locked up!

Got a message on my home voicemail stating that this is a last chance before the IRS will take action to sue. Told to return call to 1-202-657-5797. I returned the call and the foreigner stated that his name was Detective Nance badge# 50786 regarding case # DC1928 and that I owe for years 2008-2012 and I owe $75,896 in back taxes and that they were prepared to set up payment arrangements but if not they would take action against my finances, home, & vehicles. When I told him that I was calling the real IRS he threatened to disconnect my phone services. LOL that can't be because I called you from my cell phone not my home. SCAMMMMMMMMEEEEERRRRRRRSSSSSSS

I got a call this am on my land line stating the same things as everyone else has written. Scam.  

I received the same message call from 726-593-6524

got the same thing today [12/11/14]...my husb called them back. horribly rude foreign male insisting that he wasn't taking this serious, we owed 15k & needed to be in court tomorrow or monday ----- but couldn't give a court location [moron!!!!]
continued to insist we weren't taking this serious & that paper work was on it's way in the mail.
this idiot's made up American name was "daniel swick".

Got the call today. Immediately suspicious. When I called back, it sounded like a boiler room operation from India in the background. Relieved to see all the posts here.

Got a call at 7:30 a.m. from a number starting with area code 726. Looked it up and that area code is not in use! They left the same voicemail message others have described...a robo voice saying I was being sued by the IRS and had to call them at 202-657-5797 (I didn't).

This is a scam!!!!!

I got the same call from 723-599-6594 in Florida

This is the second call I got from these scammers, calls originated from 1-664-216-5748 and 1-866-978-7944. Message on machine from automated robo saying it was my final notice from IRS, filing lawsuit against me, I should call 202-657-5797 immediately. These scammers need shut down!

Got it today! Got robo message. Called back lots of rings no answers....no answering service, voicemails..nada. A simple disconnect after 30 rings
Looked up this # and so glad I'm not the only one. Scary!

I got the same call. The private number was 1-722-596-6534 and the call back number was 1-202-657-5797.

Today 12/18, I received a incoming call from 722-596-6544. I search found out this is in Mexico, message said the IRS has a pending lawsuit against me, please call 202-657-5797 to get details about my case.  This is the second call I have gotten this week.
