Automated voice saying I owed the IRS money and I needed to return their call ASAP or they would take legal action against me..., Bwhahahahahahaha, Jimmy from Pakistan has left the computer virus scam business and is now in the IRS scam business.
The IRS NEVER calls, they ALWAYS use registered mail to contact debtors.

I received the same call.  Do these people really think we are stupid enough to fall for this line of crap?  Just blocked that number.

Got a called around 1:47 pm stating it was IRS and that I must call them back if I don't want any legal action against me...ok well like that's going to happen.

Yes I too believe I am once again victim of another scam representing the IRS.  Received message left on my phone recorder to call 202-664-8809 before the IRS takes "legal action against me and my bank."  I returned call a few hours later (Wednesday, July 14, 2015} and identified himself as from "Criminal Investigation Unit - Mr, Daniel Stewart."  I asked him how he spelled Steward and he said it was "Stuart."  Asked whether I was employed and where?  I told him I had received fictitious calls in the past from phony individuals representing themselves as IRS agents or investigators, that these were "pfishing scams."  Stuart said he was aware of pfishing scams but this was no pfishing scam. I said the IRS officially corresponds with taxpayers usually via USPS postal service and why hadn't I been contacted by mail?  He said "apparently you're not going to cooperate and hung up."    I.m a bit tired of being harassed by IRS scammers in the last 3 years - this is the 3rd for fourth such incident.  IRS need to get with the FBI or some other high powered agency and go after these creeps.  Very unsettling, very anxiety provoking.  We don't need this.  Thank you.

Supposedly I have to call them back or the "IRS" will take legal action against my name. It's also "time sensitive." Yeah right!

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Most of these calls are coming from India and Pakistan. We have no jurisdiction there. Don't call them back, block them. Invest in a call blocking device or phone.
