I think this is the same person who has been calling me for more than a week and a half from different phone numbers.  A man with a thick Indian accent who tells me he is calling regarding the grant I requested.  I never requested a grant.  Or about the medical reimbursement I am owed for a surgery I have never had.  I have stopped answering calls because the man is creepy.  he makes sexual noises when I ask him to please stop calling.

received several calls from this number right after i purchased some items on line. i think the website sold my phone # to these people. it was always a person with a heavy accent who was inquiring about my school grant, or that i owed the gov't money. i finally stopped answering and now when i receive a call, they leave no message.

Mostly just hang ups. Once someone laughed at me, so I used a bit of foul language, few rotten phalic flesh curses, and swiftly hung up. This number also indicates from time to time that 'all circuits are just, please try again later'. I recommend blocking.

This is such a scam!!!  Got it this morning mentioning it was a "financial assistance grant"; "once in a lifetime"; "need an account number or preloaded VISA, WalMart card".  Asked for alternate phone # and alternate address other than my PO Box.  [***]!!!! Firstly, I do not need financial assistance.  Secondly, I feel bad for those who are in desperate situations and fall for this.

Scam. A caller from this number said he was "Justin Black," and he offered me several thousand dollars from a government grant. He said I'd been selected by the government to receive the money because I paid my income taxes on time. I only had to pay a one-time processing fee of several hundred dollars in order to collect the money.

He knew my full name, phone number, and address.

This is fraud - no government agency is going to call you and say they are going to give you money.  Also the person is not fluent in english.  Sounds arabic or indian.  I would not disclose any information.  There are many programs that now immulate telephone numbers.

I also received a call from this number with an individual with a strong middle-eastern accent.  He stated that I had received a one-time grant from the US Government, blah, blah.  I suspect that had I continued with the call, he would have been asking for bank information.

I just got a call from this number. The guy had an indian accent. Said he was from the State Department. Wanted to know if he was talking to 'my name'. I asked what he wanted and he hung up or we were disconnected. Then he called rightback and said about 10 times, I want to speak to f---ing b-tch stoffer, f---ing [***] stoffer. just kept saying that until I hung up.

This low life called my house all day and knew to ask for Don.  Same story about giving me $8,000.  I told him to speak English and that I can't understand him.  It drove him crazy.  Then I told him I knew it was a scam and he hung up.

I just received a call apparently based out of Washington, DC claiming to work with the government and that I had just been randomly selected to win $8000 if I had an active checking account, credit card, or green dot card that the money could be transferred to. He said it would only take 45 minutes once I gave him my account number or credit card number. I immediately googled the number while I was on the phone with him and read dozens of reports from people who have had the same call. I asked him what his name was and he tried telling me that it was "Steve Black" even though he had a very thick middle eastern accent of some sort. I asked him what country he was from because he obviously wasnt from the US and he couldn't tell me. He just said he wasn't a US citizen....When he said his supervisor would call me immediately back once I gave him my account information, I laughed and hung up the phone. He tried calling me back three more times, all of which I declined.

Got the call at work, exactly as mentioned before said he was offering me money about 8,000 and that I was selected by the government because I had good credit (which I knew was a lie right there lol) and I payed my bills on time and what not so I jokingly said "so what will you need? My social? Routing and account number?" And hung up.

Bottom Line: ITS A SCAM. Don't answer and don't be deceived by the Wasington DC area code.

Got a call from this number from a man statin he worked for the governments treasury and grant department or something. He said I qualified for a once in a lifetime grant of 8400. I stayed on the line because I just filed my taxes and for a moment thought it had something to do with that. When I said is this a sales call? A scam? You want my social and bank account number? At that point he got annoyed and transferred me. The next man started saying it takes 45 mins to get the money and they just need a bank account or credit card number. At this point I had already googled the number and hung up.
