Got 2 calls from this number in 30 minutes. I never answer calls with numbers that I don't know. I figure that if it is legit they will leave a message. The caller from this number didn't bother to leave a message. More than likely it is some type of scammer. I blocked the number.

Fricking calling all the time and never responding to my  questions

Just got 2 calls back to back, one came thru as District of Columbia, when I answered they hung up. I called the # up on this website and saw the comments.....2 minutes later the call comes thru again this time with an ID of NODID, I answered it. A guy with an real accent, I'm calling for the treasury in Washington and I need you to to verify information and when I wouldn't and I kept asking what he wanted he said.....I want you to go hang yourself....Nice huh.

Another call at 1:53, Department of the Treasury, I have been randomly selected to receive money that does not have to be paid back......and when I said well that's nice and since the last guy that I spoke with at this # told me to go hang myself I think that is what you should so now.....he was Sorry and I hung up

She said she was the department of the treasury in washington DC.  Could barely speak English.  I told her she had the wrong number.  Called on my skype.  Not likely.  I'm going to block them.

I answered a call from 202-666-7619 and was told I qualified for grant money, to which I responded, "I'm not interested, but thank you."  The man with a very thick accent, immediately responded, "[***] you!" and hung up.

I have decided to just give them a taste of their own medicine. If you have small children, hand the phone to them. Or I have actually pretended like I knew them and started gossiping about someone. Or, you can even pretend its a  1-900 call and ask then what they are wearing or doing.....lol

After telling a man to remove me off the calling list.  Pertaining to the government owing me money. I still get calls repeatedly daily.  Even late night early morning back to back but they hang up.

This can be one of two scams coming mostly from India and Pakistan. IRS or Federal Grant Scam. I will post for both since the information given above could be either. And sometimes these threads will go from one to the other or even go as far as the microsoft scam.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
