This number - 202-666-7706 - called 6 times and each time the call just hung up.  This happened on different days.  On the 7th time they called a person told me that they were from the United States Treasury in Washington, DC.  Said his name was Rick Walters.  Sounded foreign - could hardly understand him.  I was approved for 42,000 in grant money from the federal government that I wouldn't have to pay back.  Wow.  yeah right.  He wanted my card number and social security.  I called him out on the scam and he hung up.  Beware.  I have had other people tell me they have had calls on this same type of scam only with different scenarios.  NEVER give out any personal information.  202-666-7706 is a SCAM.

Received many calls a day from this number, they hung up every time on the third time they asked for "inan" my assistant asked why they are calling from this number is the third time they called and they hungup once a gain.

This number has called me 6 times today alone and over a dozen in the last few days. I blocked them using the "auto reject" feature on my phone and when I just Googled the number, Im glad I did.  I have answered 1 time and they hung up right away. All other attempts have gone unanswered.

-  they  are   also  impersonating  DEA  officials  /  IRS  /  FAKE  LAW  FIRMS   etc....  with  threats  to  arrest you  unless  you  immediately  send money  via  wire   transfer /  western  union   to some   offshore  country  !!!!!   obvious  scam  !!!

some  are landlines...many  are  cell phones...some  are  spoofed  and  linked  to  offshore foreign call centers  /  countries !!!!
we've  traced  back  most  of  these  numbers  to  offshore  foreign    call centers mostly  in   INDIA /  THAILAND / AFRICA  /  JAMAICA  ETC....

here's a  few  other  numbers  posted  from  the   same  area  code  offering a  wide  variety  of  scams  /  fake  emails and  scams  after  posting  something  on   craigslist   (  old  scam  )  ...... collecting  for  non  existant  "  payday  loans "....free  money / scam  giveaways /  calling  on  behalf  of  a  humane  society..... $1,000's  in  free  gov't  money.........  etc  etc.....stories  change  out  all the  time......and  the  usual  nonsense!!!

**   mysteriously  call to  claim  they  have  several  thousand  of  dollars  to  send  you / give ....just  provide  your  bank  account and  credit  card   right  away   etc etc.........scam scam

several  of  these are  the  usual   long  ongoing  scams   such  as  :  you  have  won a  free  walmart /  bestbuy  gift  card....or  you  have  won a  free  ipad  etc......all  long  ongoing  scams............

been getting tons of calls from this number telling me that i was randomly selected by the government for $8,000-9,000in grants (us grants) .. i refused to give any credit card,  green dot,  debt card info .. they wanted me to pay $3-4 for processing fees .. ahahahahahahaha ... grants are free ... meaning no process fee's either ..  i hung up on them and put them on the block list on my phone.
