Received 3 calls from this number today? Nothing but a caller ID and suspect it is a spam, because this is my work cell and it is a very private number/

I got a call today and when I answered there was no one on the other end so I hung up. I also got a call from a 202-666-8083 number a few weeks back again with no one on the other end when I picked up so I hung up. Anyone else had any other experiences like this with this number?

I've received 5calls in 2days from this number.  Picked it up once, heard some voices in the background and then - click.  Very annoying, but I bless the person who invented caller ID for our phones!

BEWARE  A woman answered, accented English, talking about some agency? I asked to be put on the do not call list and she said "Jim wants to f*** you, do you want to talk to him?" Then "Jim" came on and said "I want to have your p***"

I have been called multiple times from this number stating they are the Treasury Department and need to speak to me about government grants I'm due.  I tell them repeatedly to stop calling. Today I was called again and requested the address of the place so I could send a letter to request the removal from their call list. I spoke to a guy called Carlos who said I had to pay $50 to cancel the "service." When I told him that I didn't sign up for any service and asked for the address to send my note, he said "come on over to my place and we can have lots of sex."  I tried to call back but get a message that all lines are used.  202-666-8083

Person called saying I was randomly chosen by the US Government to receive a grant for $8,400 in which I could only use the funds for home improvements, payoff debt, etc. Couldn't use for gambling, vacations, etc. He then said the funds are transferred by the Federal Reserve Bank of NY and would need my bank account information to "validate they are speaking to the right person." I told him if he has my phone # and is really from the government he can send me a check. He said he couldn't do that

This no# is tied to a ileagle group who sends u awards for grants, secret shopper checks. Also tied into this group. Are the people who says you won the lottery. They ( ARE ) tied together in the same net. When you tie all the states together and foreign countries together. It adds to billions of dollars from innocent people. To be used against those innocent people in all forms of terrorism. And this amount money alone in paying the people who dilervery it alone adds to this. That's the service who will deliver the award check no matter what scam it is. It could be worse. They will send u a free check. Deposit it in your account and draw on it. Keep some, spend some, and send them the rest. It (WILL) bounce. Then u will have to pay it all back.

Very rude callers. I have for days told them they have a wrong number. It's becoming very bothersome. They called 3 times in less than a hour.

Consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.

To report the fraud, go here:
    http://www.grants.gov/web/grants/support/general-support/grant-fraud.html
Their number is listed , along with an email address, at the top of the page.

I have received calls from this group over the past six months using different phone numbers.  It is a scam and be warned.  I followed their prattle and was told to call a special number to give them my checking nmber, I called it and He got very upset with me when i refused to give out my numbers.  I kept calling and called over 20 times..I wanted to be just as annoying as they had been.  They finally said they wouldn't call me.  Well, they're back at it and I am tired of trying to understand them.
