Wan Chai HK HK 00000- I too received this phone call. I went to the website, and before I entered any information in, I googled the website and I found this! I also found out some more information about www.requestagrant.com which leads me to believe this;
If at anytime you applied to get information regarding a "HOME BASED BUSINESS", and you gave your phone number out, then you are going to get this call! This is how they were able to get our phone numbers. I too am on the DO NOT CALL LIST! More than likely this Con-Artist would not go to the DO NOT CALL LIST, because people are inquiring about such information and this gives them a loop hole around the DO NOT CALL LIST!
When I went to the second page of my google results, I found this; (Homeincome82's clips tagged Www.requestagrant.com : clipclip). When I clicked on it and went to the page, I saw a message that said if you were interested in www.requestagrant.com, then you will be interested in Thecash Code. I followed that link and it took me to a website regarding "HOME BASED BUSINESS"! I do think this is a scam!
Recently I have been interested in a "HOME BASED BUSINESS", and I have given my phone number out for it. I have been leary about Home Based Business's but wanted to see what could or would happen. I am glad I followed my gut feeling!
Good Luck out there and I hope to many have not fallen in to the trap. We must not fall victim to this scam and to any others. We must get our point acrossed that, WE ARE NOT VICTIM'S!!!!!!!!!!!

- I also received the same call, in which the caller also identifies themselves as "The Cash Grant Institute".....along with the same sales pitch and phone number........I'm so glad other's decided to check them out and post that they are a scam.....by the way....to all those who can't figure out how they got past your "no call" block....they simple use what is known in the field as sequencel dialing.....i.e.......000-000-0001, next 000-000-0002 and so on....that's how they get by the "no call"
- I got a website that was weird like www.thaihawkey.com/information/program and was available, so am thinking it is a scam since I couldn't get anything with requestagrant.com site. thanks for the lookup.

Danielle- Yes, I was called to By: Requestagrant.com a message left on my cell phone while @ work 6:ooam today! 10/17/08 I heard what the woman had to say. Got home went on computer to see what she was talking about. Just as I thought junk.. I was given #. Stop Telemarket Calls # 888-382-1222 I guess it didn't work. I guess we will have to put up with it or Fight it.
A stop was put out & we lost Again! I have only a cell phone thats all I need & now this again. What do we need to do to stop this? SOMEONE OUT THEIR PLEASE FILL US IN ON WHAT TO DO ABOUT THIS SITUATION ! THANKS...- only works on a land line. must let the phone ring twice before answering. when finisned hang up, then in a couple of seconds pick up phone, wait for dial tone and punch in *57 and listen to the "tracing message" which will cost $1.00. enough do this and there will be some sting against those callers from requestagrant
- i am on ssi and real sick and needed a car so i went to requestagrant .com and the only thing they did for me was take1.99 out of my bank account then they took 19.99 for me to be a member all i wanted was a way to get a car because im to sick to take a bus .now i really dont know what to do they have my bank account numberif any one knows what i should do feel free to send me a e- mail jboye@new.rr.com thanks susan
- Close that account or talk to the accounting department and tell them to STOP Payment on any future transactions. Maybe your bank can get something done if you tell them that these people are scamming you and you have told them to stop. My first advise is the best, tho. CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT AND OPEN A NEW ONE AND MAKE SURE YOUR BANK UNDERSTANDS THAT YOU DO NOT INTEND TO PAY FOR ANY CHARGES FROM THAT PERSON, BUSINESS, PHONE #, HOW-EVER IT IS LISTED ON YOUR BANK ACCOUNT. ONCE YOU CLOSE THAT ACCOUNT AND OPEN A NEW ONE, THEY WILL NOT HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR BANK ROUTING # OR YOUR PERSONAL BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER. IF THE CALL BACK TELL THEM YOU HAVE REPORTED THEM TO THE FBI, OR YOUR POLICE DEPARTMENT AND IF THEY KEEP CALLING TELL THEM YOU HAVE A TRACE ON YOUR PHONE AND SOMEONE IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OR FBI WILL BE PAYING THEM A VISIT, ASAP. THEY WILL LEAVE YOU ALONE ONCE THEY NO LONGER HAVE YOUR BANK INFORMATION AND YOU TELL THEM WHAT I TOLD YOU TO SAY. IT HAS WORKED FOR ME, BUT, IT WAS MY CREDIT CARD, I FILLED OUT BUT, I CHANGED THE CODE ON BACK, AND NOW THEY KEEP TELLING ME, ONCE WE GET THIS STRAIGTENED OUT, YOU WILL SEE $25,000 IN YOUR HANDS IN 1 TO TWO WEEKS. LIES, LIES, LIES. CLOSE THAT ACCOUNT NOW.
- This is a dam scam like everybody elase say if you was going to give out that kinda of money why do we need to go to the web-site to get it you have information on just about everyone then send me a check i should not have to go threw all the bull s**t to get the grant just start sending them to people then we will belive you are not a SCAMMER
