left no message.

call came to my cell phone 3 seperate times today when cell phone was turned off. 8:20 am,  11:13 AM & 11:14 am  also on my company 800 line at 8:40 AM. prior to business opening but left no message.

I have now blocked that number from the 800 number.

A girl called and asked for Dr. Weswoldo (similar to my name).

Foreign sounding guy called our office 3 times asking for 3 different people.  2 of the names he had the first names correct but last names wrong and the 3rd guy he asked for had not worked for the company for the last 5 years.  He wanted to transfer me to another guy John Smith.  SCAM!

They keep calling asking for someone by my first name but different last name and when I correct them, they say it's the wrong number and hang up.  I'm starting to think their phishing for something.

Thought it was an employee prank. Guy asked for my specific name, I confirmed name and then he verified three times with the wrong company. Because I thought it was an employee pranking me, I played along and the caller was caught off guard. I think he called the company "Fishman and Goldstein". He asked me to hold, and sounded very nervous, then said he was "breaking up with me". Then he hung up on me.

Got a call from 202-683-7629.  Confirmed my named couple of times, then sounded like to was talking to someone next to him and then hung up...

Recently changed landline to unpublished number due to escape from domestic violent situation. Although didn't answer calls from this number, decided to google area code and number.  A bit rattled  by call as I moved out of state. Appreciate heads up on status of number.

Just got a call from 202-683-7629. The caller sounded middle eastern, asked for my first name only. When I wouldn't give an answer until he told me who he was he said he was returning a call I had made to BMW. I told him I hadn't called, he corrected and said no, he was calling from BMW. I asked what he wanted and he said he had the wrong number and hung up.

Yes, so this person got my first name right, and when I said "yes" they clarified with a different last name, and I said no, and they hung up.  Glad I found this, it'll teach me to confirm my first name, that's creepy.

Answered hello and after long pause, middle eastern guy asked me about some interest I have in IBM products (most of what he said I did not recognize) and when I said, "I have no idea what your talking about" he said, "Ok, sorry" and hung up.  

I just got all call from this number.  I didn't answer it because I didn't recognize the number.  They hung up and diden't leave a message.  This is very disturbing and distressing to me.

You may need to seek medical attention.  Or get out more.

Just got a call from this number asking for someone in this house. He had the name correct. When I said they were not here and I would need to take a message he said he was on the line to disconnect the line for his manager. I said ok, if that's your job then that's what you have to do.

A man with a thick accent called my work asking for one of the managers by name. When I asked who he was and what the call was regarding, he said that his name was [garbled fake English name], assistant to [different garbled name], part of [garbled company name]. I put him on hold and disconnected the call. These scammers are ruthless.

I've received too many "Garbly McGarbleton"s to count.  My laugh of the day (and I need one).
