Got a text asking me to send more info to zhangyui02@yahoo.com after he saw my car ad. Though my car ad is extensive. Don't trust it.

I have a car ad on cars.com, got a text requesting info on condition and to email him. I think my ad is detailed enough and if he wanted he could have emailed me. Not responding to that.

BTW I love this website, always tells me when someone fishy is trying to scam!

I received a text message from this number (202-683-9671) shortly after I posted a car ad in carsonlinefree.com.  I started corresponding with the e-mail Zhang yiu <zhangyui02@yahoo.com>; and quickly realized it was a scam.  Started asking for my paypal information and asking questions already in the ad.

Wow..this guy hit us also..same story and exactly same info..how is he still getting away with it. I turned him in to police..obviously been doing it for years. Come on catch him and then let everyone know where he is. Fair turn

Did you report him and if so, which agencies?  He also tried this with us.  We reported him to PAYPAL, WESTERNUNION and POLICE.  This happened to you in Dec2011.  HE IS STILL AT IT.  Would like to get with everyone on this page and file charges all together if possible.  Have you had any luck?  Thank you for your time and Im sorry you also had to go through this.

Hi April :)  I'm trying to sell my car and had him send me a text like everyone else is describing, wanted more info sent to zhangyui02@yahoo.com because he was "currently at work".  My only other reply so far was another scammer from Texas that I found on this site also.  Sad...

Huh, got hit too. Realized it after I responded the email from zhangyui02@yahoo.com. Should have checked before I emailed back. The scammer used 202-601-3940 this time, again "currently at work"... asking for more info whereas my ad has been so thorough...

Got the same thing....he responded to my ad on Cars.com.  Sent me a text from 202-683-9671 and asked me to email him at zhangyiu18@yahoo.com.  When I emailed him, he asked me for my paypal email address to which I told him I was not stupid and new that he was a scam artist.
