SHILL- If you paid them anything, all you got was taken. The above post is a fake, phoney & planted. All they want is your money, you will get nothing. The Government warns about "pay in advance" loans, grants & prizes.

A lady called (as an unknown caller)  to congratulate me on winning 10,000 for a grant and stated that I can use this money for anything that I want , for education, a car and etc. And it should be used properly and I didn't need to pay it back . She said she was with the Federal Reserve Bank. They asked for my residence in order to verify that I was the correct person. She asked for my marital status , family and if I was employed or not. This is important: I was employed part time and was a student .  I asked if she was with FAFSA or anything and she didn't know what that was... Which was a little sketchy . I asked for her name and she said it was Michel Adia or Michelle Adis. This lady had a thick eastern accent . I asked who she was working for and how I won. And she said Federal Bank Reserve and the reason I won was because I was a part time student .... Which I told her earlier ... A little wierd ... I won because I was a part time student in which I told her during the phone call and not before that. She said I had 2 options in receiving the money, which was through my credit card and something else which I couldn't make out because of her think stupid accent. She asked for my credit card number ... I asked if she could send it to me through a check.. and she replied that the only way was through my credit card account... strange. .. So I asked her question asking if this was actually the government speaking to me and if I can speak to a higher up worker . I also asked for the number since the call was Unknown.
I think she knew something was up so she gave me this number : 2026846895. I said I would call her back and lied that something happen to my card . She told me I should call in 40-50 min. And said I can talk to the Senior Account manager , too make sure everything was ok. And I said I will call back . And she stated again the phone number was to te Senior Account manager

Lucky for me , I talked to a counselor at my school and she told me something wasn't right about this. And I started to research more .

Well then, I got pissed off , called them back and it went to voicemail & the voice system sounds pretty official an realistic but it sounded recorded . So I called another time
And a man picked up, his accent wasn't as strong as the lady's . It's like an Indian / eastern  accent .
He said his name was Michael something . ( I couldn't get the last name) and I asked what his occupation was and he sounded very not confident in what He's doing . And he said he was "just " the account manager .
He was stuttering a tiny bit . There's a background sound like the place is busy and alot of other people kn the phone but it was the same background  ( probably a recording) as the time the lady called me .
So , I asked what if he was the Senior account manager , he said he's just the account manager . And I blew up on him, told him I would call the government and a whole bunch of stuff , in which I WILL do .
If these mofo scam artist [***] are gonna scam me, use a name that fits their ugly [***] accents and sound confident [***].

I'm pretty sure the Governmet is not going to hire people who can't speak properly in English.
    watch out for these cons
Their number is 2026846895 and their going to say they're from DC and with the Federal Resere Bank.

And btw, grants are given when the students are accepted which is in the end of March and grants don't need your credit card account number .

Apparently the owner of this number is onto a new scam. I did not receive the call from this number, but was asked to call this number back. The call came from 496 792–8632. They said it was a call from the IRS, and my final notice before they took me to court. Any call from the 'IRS' is a scam.

I just got the same call as Julie above. The call came from 805-793-8144 and was a robo call saying it was my final notice trying to contact me because the IRS was going to file a lawsuit and to call this # back. SO many issues with the validity of this call. Clearly a fake/scam.

I got a call from 875 0938 344 with a "final notice" to call 202 684 6895 because the IRS is filing "a lawsuit against me to get more information in this case."

The call sounds like a scam for these reasons:

    1. I have never gotten any previous "notices."

    2. The IRS writes; it does not call.

    3. Since the wording was generic ("this case") rather than specific, it was clearly chosen to be usable without change in robocall after robocall.

    4. The woman's English sounded a bit unusual, for example, "the reason of this call" instead of "this reason for this call."

Got two robocalls yesterday similar to the ones mentioned, that this was a funds notice from the IRS before they file a lawsuit against me.  I hate had no problems with the IRS before this, and they wouldn't make s robocall like this.  Total scam.

I got the call from this number saying it was the IRS and it was the final call before they sue me.  It gave me the 202.684.6895 number to call back immediately.

    Just me
I received a call from a different number.  It was a robot saying to call this number back.  It was supposedly the IRS letting me know that it was a final notice that they were suing me.  When I attempting to call back, either the phone line would cut off, or it would be busy.  Finally when it went thru, and a guy answered...he immediately told me his name and badge number, saying he was with the Internal Revenue Service.  I could barely understand what he was saying...his accent was very thick. (Eastern).  I had to ask him to repeat himself several times.  He told me his name was Kevin Smith.  I think not.  I asked him to transfer me to his supervisor because I needed to speak with someone that could explain to me how I could owe the IRS so much money when I knew I did not, and he could not give me any details of my "audit" that showed these discrepancies that they had found.  He was reluctant but then finally said ok.  Then a female got on the phone.  She had the same accent he did, and introduced herself as Shirley Carter.  (Again, I think not)  She basically repeated everything that "Kevin" said almost word for word.  Basically they told me that they had a lawsuit against me, there would be a warrant from the sherriff's office for me, I would have my driver's license suspended, my personal property seized, my bank accounts frozen, and would be facing up to 5 years incarceration for tax fraud.
When I told them that I am in almost constant contact with the IRS for owing back taxes and had received a letter from the IRS just 3 months ago stating that I was paid in full and my balance was at zero, and I could prove it...the supervisor stammered a bit and then told me that she would look into the matter further and call me back and she hung up on me.  They didn't get as far as asking me for money, or trying to make any kind of payment arrangements.
I doubt they will be calling me back...but I did report them.

This telephone number 202 - 684 - 6895 called me today saying they were the IRS and that I owed them from 2008 and 2013 taxes in the amount of 3,800 dollars. They claimed that they were sending out police officers to arrest me and my husband. Nobody has come to get us yet.
When asked if I could speak to someone that spoke fluent English they hung up on me. Oh well. Be aware people.

I also got the call from 4568529632. When I went to report this number as a scam with the FCC  the response was this was not a U.S. phone number and could not be reported. Total SCAM! Also, robocalls are illegal when they are going to ask you for money.

Receive call from this number that left a message that IRS had a lawsuit with me over previous tax years and to call 875-993-8444 to call back and settle.  I called the number and Jason was his name in a foreign accent.  Ask what is the lawsuit about and send me information on it. He asked if I wanted to settle the suit or fight it.  Told him going to fight it and send info. He hung up.
