Got this number on cell phone

A gentleman with an heavy foreign accent was on the other end of the line. He stated he was from the FBI branch of the IRS. My taxes were wrong and I owed big money. Also, this was an urgent matter that needed to be rectified immediately if not sooner.

Pretends to IRS...IRS has acknowledged scam and has released statements confirming they don't make these calls

Johnathon Knight, Badge number 06719, called because of the "fraud and disconnect" on my taxes. Terrible English and a heavy accent. Don't be taken in! This is a total scam.

When I answered it was a recorded message from Jonathon Knight. He had an Asian accent. Claimed that I was hiding something from the IRS. He wanted me to return the call ASAP

IRS scam. Said he was Jonathon Knight. Foreign accent. Last time he called he said he was Steve Martin. It's a scam. The IRS does not call you. It was all over the news.

Jonathan Knight at (202) 697-9369 DC, USA - left a message stating it was important I called back as I was under fraud investigation - said he was with the IRS and that I was hiding information from the government.  I called back and Jonathan Knight was not available but another of his co-workers told me that a law officer should have been at my home this AM to arrest me -he had a heavy Indian accent- I hung up.  Then a few short minutes later my phone ran back with a call back number of "911" - again a heavy Indian accent and said he was a police office - Mark - unclear of last name and said he was with the Mukilteo Police Department- I live in Mukilteo and he did not even pronounce the name of the city correctly.  I immediately hung up.
BE CAREFUL...this is a big SCAM- I am sure they were going to try and get information from me - just not sure what.

I did not answer the phone, but listened to voice mail. Man with heavy accent, saying I held information from IRS and owe "big" money. I am to call the number back to "rectify" situation.

Got the same call, Jonathan Knight, Pretending to be IRS.  Audit on my taxes showed I owed big money. :Rectify immediately.  BIG SCAM!  Be very careful.

Received a call from this phone number. I engaged in the conversation with Jonathan Knight a so called IRS Agent in regards to my taxes. This guy was very persistent and wanted to control the conversation. So much that I believe that was his gig to gaining personal information about me. He only knew my name but I knew he was scamming me from the beginning. We were told that these types of calls were being done and these callers have gained or "bought" names and phone Numbers associated with these numbers from certain phone carriers. He wanted me to verify my address which I would not. He said that all of my credit cards and accounts would be frozen if I did not cooperate with him. I finally gave him a fake address and a fake company that I worked for and a fake phone number and a fake bank. He wanted to make a deal with me.... or lets say scam. He said that if I pat a 440.00 fee for the taxes that he would waive the rest with approval. I said ok to that and he placed me on hold... I waited for a minute and he said that it would have to be 1075 dollars total. I told him at this point that he was a phony and that I recorded the whole conversation and will report him to the FBI. I hung up on him and never heard a word. No police came to arrest me and none of my account were frozen. It was all lies as I expected. Be very careful who you give personal information too. This is a scam to obtain your bank info and identity. Its a man with middle eastern accent that knows very little about IRS  and their  procedures. JUST BLOCK THEM OR THEY WILL CONTINUE TO CALL AND LEAVE SAME "PRE-RECORDED" MESAGE IN YOUR VOICEMAIL.  Just sayin'....

Please do not fall into this trap the government does not make calls in this manner.... also debt collectors do not either or they are not following federal and state laws and could be fined big time.... this is someone scamming people called my phone looking for a robin left the same message as all the other complaints I called the number back and they said hello robin I educated the man johnathan knight that iwas not robin then later that evening the same call was made to my husbands phone.... be very careful

This automated message from Jonathan Knight, who identified himself as an IRS officer alleging that I have fraud on my tax returns.  Also, I should answer immediately when I get my next call from the IRS.

I called the number back and this guy "John said There was a warrant for my arrest for tax fraud. I questioned him further and he hung up.  I called him back and told him I was aware of the scam and had given the number to my local police department. He hung up again.   I plan calling him over and over . Lol

Got a call today from a johnathan knight from irs withh a badge 46718 said i have fraud tax and owe money to call him back also last month a woman called from california that i got a grant for 7500.00 to give martin my info which i did not in either instance another scam calling fbi and local police on this number also just keep it up scammers your going to get caught and stay in jail and go to hell.
