Called ~9:50AM local time. No message left, no caller name other than "DIST OF COLUMBI". Called back using *67 prefix, heard two different recordings stating nearly the same thing, i.e. "Thank you for calling, if you'd like to be added to our do not call list, please press one" The first was a human voice, the 2nd was computer generated voice. No identification of who they really are.

They don't identify themselves when calling or being called and we are already on the national DNC list. So why do I believe that pressing "1" will do more harm than good?

Called FOUR times today from 10 this morning until 7 tonight -- left no message. Tried to call number back and got the "if you'd like to have your number removed.... blah blah blah press 1 " the SAME recorded message that many, many of these SCAMMERS use..... So, they are obviously one of the bogus groups out there up to no good. Don't answer calls from this number, and put on call block if you have it.... B E W A R E ! !

Same as previous callers.  Call several times a day.  Starts at 8:20 am, 10:00 am. 5:30pm.

Calls every morning....do not answer....am on the DNC list....why do I keep getting these calls?

Still receiving repeated calls from this "DIST OF COLUMBI" number. Lately they have been leaving a message asking for me by my first name, so they at least have some information on me. My guess is they are a PAC of some kind, wanting money to support their organization. Both the male and female callers sound to be twenty-somethings, so likely their call center is composed of political volunteers or campaign workers. Since they do not identify themselves when calling on Caller ID, on their voice message, or their voice message when calling back, they will never receive any money from me. An option would be to answer the phone and purposely stay on with them as long as possible (asking for a better explanation or hard copy literature) and when the caller starts pressing to wind up the deal/call, telling them the only purpose you kept them on so long was to destroy their average time per call ratio and *now* put that in your database and don't ever call here again. I'm not that big of a jerk,,, Yet.

I don't answer any calls from Area Code 202, anymore.  It was probably some PAC wanting money.  In fact I don't donate to anyone anymore.  They have worn me out.

We have been getting multiple calls per day (on a rarely used cell phone) from this number for the past week.  When we pick up, no one is there.  The number they are calling evidently has us as a "DNC" but their autodialer continues to call and then the "DNC" algorithm kicks in.  Love the suggestion that, if you actually get someone on the line who wants money, keep them on the phone for a long time and then when they try to wrap it up, tell them the only reason you kept them on the line so long was to submarine their time/call ratio and that they should learn from the experience and completely remove your name from their list.

Don't know who this is, calls two and three times a day and say press 1 for adding to call block. Well, number has been reported to FCC and personally, whoever has the time to do this needs to be put in the military and send him or her overseas. Defending our country is something they could do and be useful as a human being.

Unfortunately I'm gettting repeated calls from this number.  Hoping they get tired and go away but they have been calling a couple times a week for the last few weeks.  Probably some political thing.  I made the mistake of donating to the political parties once and they have hounded me with literature, calls asking for money, etc.  It is never ending.  My advice is to never donate money to any political group...period.

I'm on the DNC registry like many others who have posted here. I don't know how to get these people to stop calling. I'd be afraid to push any buttons for fear of incurring a bill. If it's the RNC, as they have bombarded me in the past, I had already spoken with a human a while back and told her under no circumstances would I EVER answer my phone if caller ID doesn't explicitly say who's calling. Tired of these bullies.

yes, getting at least one call a day from this number - and I just refuse to answer. Maybe they will stop when they realize that I am not going to EVER answer.

When I get an unknown call, I answer by saying "This is Martha."  If it is a computer generated call, there is usually a pause.  Then I usually hang up before someone comes on the line.  With this 202 number I waited the other day and a man came on.  He had a foreign accent.  I said "How much money do you want?" and I got disconnected!! Otherwise my experience is like everyone else's.  When I call back the number I either get the "press 1 to be taken off the call list" or "this number is not in service."   It is very, very annoying.

My experience is pretty much the same as others on here who have already described theirs. I don't answer. I'm burned out on 202 calls. You give once and it never stops. I get 202 calls plus I get emails because I gave to the RNSC. And they do sell your info to other organizations.

Same thing: every day, few times a day, starting just after 8 am and finishing short of 9 pm.
I just filed report with FCC: DoNotCall(dot)Gov.
Hope it will stop them.

I answered today and when they recognized there was someone on the phone, they asked if this was Fred. I said no, that Fred passed away the first of the year and that if this was for a political contribution, he couldn't contribute any money but would be voting Democrat in the next election.

Political fundraising call from Republicans "desperately" needing money.

They have been calling numerous times a day for the past  few weeks. I generally don't answer as I don't know anyone in that area code.  I did answer one day and no one was there. I like many others are on the DNC list and I can't figure out the purpose of the DNC if people don't abide by it.  Very annoying. Caller ID just shows Dist of Columbia
