I got a call at 7:38am!!! this morning. (Strike 1, its illegal to call before 8am, even if its a debt collector). They said they were from the IRS and that they will place a deed against us. We are suppose to call them back at the same number. Problem with this is, when I did a reverse look up, it states its a cell phone  . The person on the other end did not speak English well,(strike 2) and there was crackling in the line (strike 3). I would know if the IRS is going to call me!!! Sorry but this is a SCAM!!! No other information except that my caller ID stated Washington, D.C.

Same thing happened to me, I did not answer the phone, they left a message saying they were the IRS and that they were going to take legal action and I need to call them back if I would like to settle out of court. I have dealt with the IRS before, and this IS NOT THEM!

Same here .... sent it straight to voicemail and they left a message to call back the IRS at this number, or legal action would be placed upon me.

Rec'd message from this number saying what is listed in other comments (IRS threatening legal action, blah blah).  Called back this number to check and it's out of service.   THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A SCAM CALL.
