Got 3 calls from 815-293-8444 leaving messages to call 202-738-1233 says IRS filling law suits.  LOL.  By the way, the contents of the 3 messages are different from one another.  I called back and got a heavy Indian/Pakistani accent on the line.  IRS don't call.  They usually send two (2) certified mails of the same content.  This sound like a scam.  I didn't bother talking to them.

Two calls today matching those reported above.

Got the same call three times today as well.

Scammers are calling within the 256 area code on Dec 8.
They claim to have info about a suit by the IRS.
This is totally bogus.

I too was told that the IRS was filing suit against me and to call:  202-738-1233.  Funny how the phone number on my caller ID was 496-252-7632.  I was well award of these scams and many others out there.  If you get one of these calls, I urge you to go to www.TIGTA.gov, click the red tab on the right and report the attempted scam along with all phone numbers on either caller ID or the number they told you that you needed to call IMMEDIATELY!!  What a bunch of losers.  I only hope that others do not fall for this, but unfortunately many do.

6:00 AM  in the morning I received a call from  202-738-1233 about being sued..   As a retired fraud Investigator from LA County,  I know law suits are not handled through my answering service.
I hope other people are not scared by this phone call.   (The crooks never sleep do they?)

Received call telling me to call this number back.  Call did not come from this number though.. Says it is the IRS and I am being sued. (yeah right).  Trust me the IRS will not call you. I did not call the number back because it seems and sounds like a scam.

The number calling me was 835-093-8444 asking me to call 202-738-1233.  They said this was my final notice before IRS files a lawsuit against me.

Received call on 12/9/14 - I was told they were the IRS and this was my final notice before IRS files a lawsuit against me.  I should immediately call 202-738-1233.  The phone number on my caller ID was 426-752-2632 - so it appears they are varying the number from where they are calling.  I am well aware this is scam season - not just Holiday season!  I went to www.TIGTA.gov and reported the scam - you should as well.

I recieved a call from 202-738-1233 today, informing us that the IRS is filing suit.  This call was the last warning. the call was automated. The caller ID revealed that the caller's number was 496-752-6632.  After reading the other posts, I decided the call was a scam.

Received call on answering machine 12/8/14 @ 1:49 p.m. Call was automated & I was told they were the IRS and this was my final notice before IRS files a lawsuit against me.  I should immediately call 202-738-1233. .The phone number on my caller ID was 466-352-9632 so it appears they are varying the number from where they are calling.  At 9 pm another automated call came in with the same message from a different number which was 476-152-7632.  I did call again and was able to talk to a man with a foreign accent who answered the phone as "Mike Brown with the IRS".  I then ask him about the phone call I had received threatening me with a law suit.  I ask him when did the IRS start leaving automotive message re : law suits.  He immediately hung up.  I decided the call was a scam.  I will go to www.TIGTA.gov and report the scam - you should as well.

Recorded message saying this was the IRS and that this was their final notice and that they were filing a lawsuit. I was to return the call immediately to 202-738-1233. The number that showed on my phone was 865-193-8444.

they call me daily I don't answer...they left a message today saying the IRS was filing a law suit against me....I have reported it...I think the police should become involved.....there are some poor folks out there very susceptible to fraud.
