I received a call from a 202# & the caller said that i was chosen to receive a grant for $7,000 & that i will not have to pay it back. She gave me an I.D. # & told me to call Mark Foster at 202-738-1322. I already kbew it was a scam. I tried calling the # & the phone just rung with no answer. Then I decided to google the # that the person called me from & it comes up.

i got a call and they told me got a 7,000.00 grant from gov and to call tis number and nobod answer so dont believe them

now it is a recording stating they are with the IRS... still at the scam

I received call from 2037381322 and the left message that it was from the IRS. The said they had a lawsuit against me and I needed to call. I suspected scam and called #. They tried to confirm my name and said I don't believe this is the IRS. He said then you will suffer consequences. Sounded like accent from Middle East

just got that phone call.  really ticked me off with the threatening attitude.  I had to make him repeat lots of things. said word for word about the consequences thing.  I think he got so frustrated with me that he hung up on me as I wanted more and more info he could not provide.  filled out a fraud report on the IRS fraud division website at TIGTA.gov.  real easy to do.

Claiming from IRS also gave this number as well 509 492 3420 following the 202 738 1322

Said from IRS filing lawsuit agaisnt me called from 509 492 3420 and told to call 202 738 1322 to respond.Filied scam report with https://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam.shtml would suggest you do same real easy to do.

Got a call from "irs" that they are filing a lawsuit aaist me. This is preposterous and i know its a scam. Will report it to the IRS

I got the same call yesterday morning (8/20/2015) from the "irs" I said it was a scam and the gentleman called me an [***] and hung up on.

This morning (8/21/2015) from a woman I could hardly understand.  She did the same irs bit and even told me about my tax records.  I'd like to know where she got them from.  When I said scam she became indignant and said she would see me in court.  Nice touch.  Since today was Friday she wasn't going to have me arrested until Monday.  Nice of her.  The only thing that bothers me is she knew my address.  She sounded like she was from India, very thick accent.  Big Scam.

Same thing. Said IRS has a lawsuit against me. First off, all of us would get letters from the IRS and second a lawsuit is the final action, not the first. Someone needs to get a life.

Got same call of IRS lawsuit, both numbers, the 202 and the 509 were asked to call.

Called at 3:48 pm did not answer left message on my answering machine saying The IRS has a lawsuit against me the number also had 012 in front of it on my caller id. The phone number is 202-738-1322.  8/21/2015 @ 3:48 pm! Called number back it said it was disconnected or no longer in use.

Also received call.... Returned it and when I challenged the Indian fella, he said he would blow my house up. Called him on my mobile with caller ID off... he had no idea who I was. How does the government let these people continue to do this?

Just got a message on the answering machine with the first part cut off. The part that came through was "against you to get more information about this case file call me (unintelligible) at 202 738 1322. I repeat 509 492 3420". This was on 8/22/2015 early morning. Missed the part about the IRS but I guess we are going down together. LOL

Just got the same female caller from 202-738-1322 reporting that the IRS has a law suit against me and  to call them back to  the  same #.
Now I  hope that everyone who  gets this  type of call from the IRS that  they know that it is a SCAM  cause 1st the  IRS will not call anyone on any issue with  you that  they will send you a letter instead.
This has been reported before that  the letter is  the only way the IRS will contact you.......

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Yep, my family and I just got the call from the "IRS".  They gave us both the 202# and the 509#.  It's definitely a scam, since the IRS would send a certified letter to your house before they would even call you. Government agencies don't typically call you at home, but rather prefer doing business through the USPS.  I'm going to the IRS website to file a scam report.

They are located in India and Pakistan.  Invest in a call blocker.

We did NOT answer this call, because our caller id showed the number coming from outside the USA
011 738 1322, we do not know anyone from outside the USA.  After reading this thread, I am glad we did not answer.

caller left a message stating to call back they were the IRS and I will be arrested tomorrow if I did not send them the money I owe IRS for back taxes.  The lady tried to explain everything but since she sound like she was from some other country then USA, I could not understand her.  A gentleman got on the phone and said that I needed to find the money today and wanted me to put him on speaker phone so he can hear me and also asked that I DID NOT MENTIONED ANYTHING ABOUT THIS CASE TO ANYONE.
