I was told I would get a 9200.00 grant from the gov for paying my bills on time and being late with payments. I was given a call back # and a ID #

Things to believe:

• It is illegal to ask for money for a loan or prize, before awarding the loan or prize!
• "Free Trips" are loaded with mandatory & costly extras, and you usually must give them your card number after listening to a loooong spiel at a hotel.
• Microsoft or a different famous software company, or one of their agents did NOT cold call you to fix your computer.
• The moon is not made of green cheese.
• The IRS will snailmail you, rather than phone you, if there is a problem.
• Jackalope milk is not an aphrodisiac.
• If you Vanilla Card, MoneyGram or Western Union money to a scammer, the money is gone.
• You should beware of Geeks bearing gifts, specially if the gift is a wooden horse with termites, or a statement that your computer is infected.
• 876 is NOT your lucky number, and it will cost you money to call that area code!
• The number you see on your Caller ID may not be the number of the person who called you!

He said his name is John Smith and he works for the U.S. Govt at 200 Independence Ave  HHBldg, Washington DC. and I was selected to receive a grant of $9200. He said my grant id# GG3344 and to call 202-738-1502.

I Received the same phone call promising me a $9700 grant. The woman had a really bad foreign accent and I could hardly understand a word she said. She also gave me a number to claim my grant and she said she was from the department of health and human services which is a bunch of crap. I played along to get as much information as I could out of her. Unfortunately the number they called from did not show on my caller ID so I have no idea who really called. Do not fall for this it's a scam.

Bunch of non English speaking pricks! With a  room filled with chatter chatter couldn't hear [***] but the guy's name being told to several other people in the back ground! John Watson, my ass your name is habib and your an idiot!

just received this call telling me 9200 dollars was awarded in grant money.  all i had to do was get to a money gram pay 300 dollars in a good faith security deposit and i will receive within 15 minutes 9500 dollars back.  never met an indian sounding person with the name john marshall or kevin anderson.  shame on these people.

I recieved a call from "John marshall" ON MY CELL PHONE!!!!  (he had a phillipino accent!) giving me a # to call (202-738-1502) Which was a number to District of Colombia Washington DC. A woman "Elizabeth Nash with a spanish accent told me I would get $9200 for a reimbursement grant if I go to Money Gram, send them $300.00 (the tax on the $9200!) and recieve back $9500. 30 minutes later. To call her when I get to moneygram and she would walk me through the process.  WHAT A LOAD OF GARBAGE.  If the government were to send you money, they will send a check, to your home, and deduct the taxes before you get it.  DO NOT SEND MONEY TO THESE PEOPLE, IT IS A SCAM!!!!!

They just call me and I check in the internet the phone # and I saw all the coments before I send any money I Work really hard for all this freeck scam me

I have constantly been getting "unknown number" phone calls from these people. I've answered a couple times and have asked to be taken off their list. Or I have not gotten a reply when I say hello. This recent one I just went along with it and was polite and asked to be removed from the list ... I couldn't understand half the crap that idiot was saying. The SOBritches said in his accent "I am just going to keep on calling back - everyday!" WTFrank?!? He gave me "my code" from the "government" - GG3344. He said GG is for government grant. And to call 202-738-1502 RIGHT after I hung up. I  That landed me here. I'm not calling the number. But if anyone would like my "unique code" they can call and get that grant money.

These desperate scam artists had nerve to call me from a blocked number.   So I called them from a blocked #.  The Indian voice on the other end insisted that I call back from an UNblocked #.

These people called me today saying I won $9200.00 from the government as a grant that I didn't have to pay back... They wanted me to go down to money gram and pay $300.00, and supposedly recieved back $9500.00. They called private and gave me a number of 202-738-1502 to call right back. When I called I didn't understand any thing they were saying as before on the previous call. But now they spoke great English when telling me when and how to send the money. I really need to know with whom to talk to to stop these people from scamming people. Everyone work hard for their money to just give it away.....

202 area code sure has been busy trying to give away $9200..how can I get them to leave me alone?usually I don't even answer but thought I could tell them to get my name off their list..didn't work they call about 3 times a day
