Got a call a $7,000 free money for me and that I was randomly selected from United States Treasury because I pay all my bills on time.  I knew then it was a joke and went along with conversation.I was given a claim #SN767 and phn # 202-638-1655 and intend to let them know I'm aware of the scam and they just git "Punked" . I asked for their website caller insisted I give my information and then she'll provide me with website once she is done.  I laughed at her through the entire call in her ear.  How about that for, Have A Nice Day!

Just got same number to call back I tried to call again and Verizon wireless said it was wrong number but I didn't get thru and I chose to receive funds via western union glad it didn't work. Now I wish govt really would give me an real grant.

I got the call about $7000. Yeah... I am not paying to get "free money". They called from a 1-000-000-0000 and when I picked it up... It rang once before they picked up. My code was RJ105 & to call 2027381655... He spoke decent English... But it was still a tip off.

I would also like to add that I did Google the number & the first link does say it is based in Washington DC. They really went thru to make sure it sounds good. This is the second link. :)

I also just received a call from them stating I wld get 7,000 dollars she only gave me a 9 digit phone number lol I continued laughing telling her she must give me a real number which wld be 10 digits we argueed for awhile on that and I told her NO WAY was she with gov. cause they wld know how many numbers are in a phone number. she said I cant hear well... REALLY.... I informed her I hear well and she has no clue what she is doing and shld also speak english when calling someone along with choice words lol...

Is this real or a fraud they say the government owes me 7,000.00 money free grant I don't have to pay it back to the goverment or have to pay taxes on the 7,000.00 I want to know is this true I really need this money and they say I have to pay 300.00 to the us federal government bank IS THIS TRUTH OR A FRAUD

If you can't recognize such an obvious scam, you should just stop answering your phone and ask your mommy or daddy to explain it.

Just got off the phone with Mr. Mark ext 0457 he wants me to pay $310.00 in order to process the $7000 from the Federal Government.  This grant is due me because I was selected one of the 1500 yearly reciepeints of the grant.  I was so happy, because I am so broke and now unemployed.  Called Schwab, account holder since 1982, and they said NO this is not real.  I am so sad, kick a man when he is down, is that the society we live in today.....

Just got a call from an "Unknown" and they gave me the 202-738-1655 with a conf # because I was owed a grant from the government. I couldn't understand the guy to get any details that would be helpful in reporting, but recognizing that it is a scam I am hesitant to call the new number to get info to report it. I want to warn people but don't want to open a whole new line to be harassed by these people.

have any body been called by a number like this 110 then the person tells me viruses is being downloaded on to my computer  then he tells me to pull up the run box and type eventvwr  to check my system for errors
the he said he would fix the viruses for 175 dollars give me antivirus software and everthing for the deal the credit card people had a block on it then he told me to tell creditcard people to release transaction they told me 2 years antivirus perfection 1 year of service here is the number   1-866-662-2747
then the next day this person called me from this number 0000000000 telling me i can claim money 7,000
she gave me Gr202 and told me to call this number 202-738-1655 middle eastern people it sounds like i think its connected to the computer service people

Its a scam and all they want is your money! They have no way of knowing whats going on with your computer and No legitimate company cold calls like this.  The scam usually entails them taking you to your event viewer which is a internal monitor that logs events on your computer.. Oh sure, you will see the error's logged, but its all a scam to get you to allow them access to your computer. The event viewer is only doing its job and its there for a real tech to look through should you actually have a problem. Then they want remote access! They usually turn your anti virus program off  and give you a big spiel, then inform you they want a small fee to fix it.. several hundred dollars of course! Meanwhile, they have access to all your computer and could be gleaning personal info, downloading stuff to your computer to turn it into a zombie computer to spam folks..

The only persons who should be touching your computer is you, your manufacturer, Real Windows support that you have called and/or maybe a real live tech you see face to face!

Back in July, I received the bogus call from a NYC number, man with an Indian accent, telling me that my computer had been hacked and he was calling from Microsoft Windows.  I needed to give him access to my PC "on Microsoft's authority" and he would fix it for me.  I told him that I had no PC currently connected to the internet and he needed to provide more info.  I gathered everything that I could and tried not to laugh when he said he would call me the next day so that I had time to connect my PC; I told him not to bother as it is never connected to the internet.  I phoned MS and reported the incident.  MS does not call homes to tell regular users that they have been hacked.  They confirmed that they had heard of this scam, but not for over a year.  Guess it is back.  In the past scam, if someone granted access to their PC, they loaded virus/malware and then charged to remove it.  Today, I just received the $7000 grant money scam phone call.  It displayed as private name private number and rang once when I answered.  THe woman's accent was hard to understand, but she dictated the same line of 7000 tax free grant from the us government and mentioned the federal reserve bank and gave me the number 202-738-1655 to call. I had not assumed that they were related, but since others have posted that they were the recipient of both scam calls, we were probably on the same list that was sold to them.  I will be reporting this info to the posted site for fraud as well as calling the local police in the event that they discuss these types of scams with seniors.  I would hate to see senior citizens fall victim to these type of predators.
